You'd have better luck taking a normal song and reversing it in DAW, then perhaps uploading a 60s audio segment so it could try to extend from that wonky new pattern?

I'm trying to create the "before" of a song by reversing it, uploading to suno and trying to convince it to create a reversed track, then I want to reverse the hole thing and have a "before" of the song.

when it creates the song, it sounds reversed. and you say "oh this worked" and then you reverse and it still sounds like reversed 😄 so I think it knows how a reversed song sounds like and can mimic that effect, but it's not actually creating a 100% reversed one

exactly, v3 also does better job at creating deathcore/ specifically symphonic deathcore. and it listens to you 90% of the time when you ask for an instrumental while v3.5 creates vocals about 50% of the time, it's very annoying

I am a vocalist and I use suno to only create instrumentals so I can write my own lyrics and record vocals over them, but it randomly puts vocals on the BEST part of the song

I would use udio to create the intro but the upload feature is apparently for paid only and I already pay for suno so I don't want to buy it just to make an intro couple of seconds long

I shared this post earlier to show how you enter the prompt can affect how suno interprets it. "80s power ballad" could very well be interpreted the same as "make a ballad, use the 80s as a theme, make it powerful". Using v3.5 without effective use of prompting or having a strong melodic theme to hook onto can trend toward generic pop/rock/dance/rap etc.

Like SirBitesAlot mentioned, hyphenating them seems to work, but keep it mind it's not a secret to making Suno understand 100%, it's just different ways of rephrasing your prompt when it's misinterpreting, or interpreting the prompt as 2 separate prompts

Never said that, it's a matter of figuring out how to rephrase your prompt to the AI so that it understands it differently.

Look at how "punk rock" and "punk-rock" are handled diferently, but notice the weird quirk in hyphenating 80s-power-ballad in that it's basically the same

The trick will be finding different descriptors that evoke the same feel or style as 80s power ballads, or trying to break "80s-power-ballad" into a couple different "vertical slices" to overlay, like "80s-ballad" "rock-ballad" "powerful-80s" "power-ballad".

Maybe trying some of those with and without hyphens to get a strong understanding of how Suno interprets what you're saying (I recognize not everyone has credits to blow on this, but if you're a paid subscriber near the end of your paid month with credits left, EXPERIMENT)

Imagine Suno as a robot that learned english from reading classical music terms and checking out modern music magazines. It's kinda quirky and self taught, but it's a savant at making music.

Sometimes it won't understand what you mean, so you can use the tokenizer to peek at how it might be interpreting what you're saying, and try to explain in different ways to see what it understands from each different explanations.

One issue might be that a long genre name clearly means something to you and I out of cultural osmosis, but it means NOTHING to the adorable little robot who wants to write a song for you.

"That's not power metal! you've failed me! try again!" POWER METAL! as the robot cries in confusion and tries to reimagine what it could possibly mean. (not you, but a dramatic exageration with a tinge of anthropomorphism to help explain that we need to reframe how we approach misunderstandings, because it's not being coded like a script, but trying to understand based on mutual agreements)

I feel for people who learn from looking at others' examples and trying to use all of those "tricks" as a base for learning the secrets behind Suno instead of "getting their hands dirty", because I could imagine trying to create a hyper-specific song or style within a 1~2-shot generation wuld be SO frustrated that it just never seems to work for them.

Or maybe they produce a good song in which the particular style prompts or metatags were outweighted by something else -- they might try the same things over and over again, blaming the platform because "it worked perfectly before, and I haven't changed anything", when not changing anything is the problem inherent.

yea i am always refining. Some of the stuff "just works" some of it is just "meme" or "Noise" some does nothing because it didn't work but the track was still good. I use unicode arrows and stuff a lot it can repeat melodies but it also can confuse suno into thinking the arrows are the lyrics and then you put the arrow block in and it repeats jumbled up lyrics from before probably also some tokenization stuff. But it seems to work for the stuff I use it for and it looks funny so I keep it. I have however come close to make one shot duets work

I've mentioned it previously, and plan to go into it in a bit more depth once I get the time to assemble the workflow guide, but v3.5 tends to drift toward generic rock/rap/dance/metal unless it has effective use of prompting, or is extending from an existing strong musical theme to hook onto. It excels at song structure and making sense out of an otherwise chaotic song, and REALLY excels at specific tasks like lyrical flow and cohesion to patterns.

v3, as noted in the model selection drop down, is a bit more broad and versatile, able to create a wider range of genres and subgenres, although it's not always as cohesively tied together as v3.5.

I had seen some people maybe assuming that 3.5 was 'better' than 3, but devs say they should be the same. So don't feel bad about flipping between v3 and v3.5

I know it feels like such a copout to say "you just need to experiment", but I guarantee that you understand powerballads more than 97% of the people on this discord right now. Having experimented with those 20 variations, even if just on v3.5 isn't wasted time or effort because you're building your suno-to-english dictionary, and will eventually start to get a feel for what prompts are weighed strongly, which ones are barely registering (like if you have millions of rap-based style prompts and say "disco" at the very end, it's likely to be drowned out)

So the classical suggestion channel disappeared. Now we cannot post suggestion about generating music... But I would like to. I have compared udio with Suno and I thing Suno is definitely easier to use, because in udio it takes so long to complete a song. So now I would suggest to Suno, let user can generate first 15-30 seconds as a sample how the suggested song could look. Suno could create up to 4 short samples. Possibly - and it would be yet better - if it could create two voices (samples) separately for two instrumental (samples) songs. The user would select which song he/shw wants to work with in the next step. If Suno would generate vocals and instruments as separated stems/tracks then the user would select one voice and one instrumental song which together will create the complete sample to start with... Do you know what I mean. You can have like files 1) branch A - voice.wav, 2) branch A - instruments.wav, 3) branch B - voice.wav, 4) branch B - instruments.wav ... or something in the way. A must fit A. B must fit B. Is the user is not content, he will just generate new samples A branch, new samples B branch. And then he will select the correct files wither from branch A or from branch B. Do you got it? So this is first step. And he will use the prompt, style and title to describe what he want's to generate so in the case that the sample represents the beging of the song, Suno will extend the samples to 4 minutes length. In the case that the sample is just somewhere in the middle like refrain, Suno will generate complete song including intro, verses and the rest.

Reuse prompt reuses the exact lyrics and style prompts for a song -- I'll have to look to see how it handles matters where style prompts change between multiple extensions of a song, I don't know if choosing "Reuse prompt" on a finished song would take the prompts from the first or last parts, or if it would be a collection of all.

The v3.5 model has been providing very professional results since its release. When the preparations for the new site began. This was the result. The same thing happened with the v3 model. When you think logically, there is no connection between the change of the site and the deterioration of the model. But I can't find any other explanation.

I think even for original (not extended or 'full song') gens I can't find a way to retrieve the original description given, just the style description which suno derived when generating the song

It may be because the density has increased. Or it may be because the production rate has increased. Quality may have decreased as production speed increased. I think that the v4 model is being prepared by making changes to the v3.5 model.

I have over 800 recent generations of all different styles and genres, some with lyrics, some instrumentals, some instrumentals that have gibberish lyrics I didn't even want and they all sound terrible really fuzzy, overdriven, distorted low quality sound and the lyrics mostly have this terrible wish-washy auto tune to them. I would understand 4 or 5 maybe but over 800 isn't a coincidence or the luck of the draw. Comparing my recent generations to some a few months back is like night and day. Something has definitely changed and it isn't my end, all I can do is supply lyrics and musical style the way I normally have. I have no other control over the generation. Enough people are saying the same thing.

I have produced many songs since the v3.5 model was released. I have always produced in the same style. And they were all very good quality. The results were always close to each other. It has nothing to do with the content I've been producing in the same style for a week. Sometimes he sings the lyrics in a different language. Sometimes he leaves the lyrics and extends the music. The style is the same, the style of words is the same. I don't understand why the quality has decreased.

I say this for informational purposes. There may be no problem in English production. Or in certain styles. The developers put a lot of effort into this. I'm not criticizing anyone. If you go back 6 months people are saying the exact same things (not related to a UI change, but take your pick for whatever reason it's attributed to at the time, "They made it worse because now RIAA is watching them!", "They made it worse so the next model looks better!", same type of conspiratorial stuff that you see on /r/ChatGPT when it stops spitting out a fully coded snake-game in python in one shot, while everyone else is still happily using it)

I'm not trying to invalidate your responses, and I agree that generation quality can vary from day to day, seemingly hour to hour and prompt to prompt. There's definite generations that just sound overall worse, with tinny or muddy audio quality, muddled together, where it would be unpleasant to work with in a DAW.

That being said, we've received absolutely no indication that there have been any changes made to the model, so the only actionable advice to give is to report poor generations with ... > Report > Bugs > Poor Audio.

I even reverted to creating instrumentals only but some still end up with lyrics, some half through, some aren't even words just nonsense words, had loads of 3-10 second songs that the credits didn't refund me on I even posted some here, but even on the correct instrumentals the musical elements all sound like they are running hot which creates this horrible overdriven distorted, crunchy sound. This month I have pretty much wasted my entire subscription on badly generated songs. Any developer is very welcome to go in to my account and listen to them.

Still, I'm not trying to discourage people from sharing their opinions because that's the only way that new and emerging trends can be noticed, but when the comments are being made with 100% incorrect certainty that "a material change has been made to the model, and it must be reverted", it doesn't leave a lot of room for discussion or possibilities.

Any attempt at explaining the situation from a privileged perspective is labeled as "shilling" because it doesn't serve anyone productively to simply jump on a bandwagon in hopes of getting pristine audio quality 100% of the time.

I trust that you've received poor audio generations recently.

Neither are right or wrong, both can happen. It's a learning process from what I've noticed, and there's a great deal of things we don't have consistant control over.

I don't think that the users that are complaining here mean to attack the poor mods (not even the creators). Just venting a bit frustration and as I'm moderator on another site I think it's all very mildly phrased (at least the parts I have read).
It's natural to want to know what's amiss or if something's up behind the scenes. Happens.
And we're not only three. The last days I had conversations at least with half a dozen other users about the aforementioned problems (and I'm not that connected). For certain, you'll find ten times as much who don't say anything on either channel possible.

I know but I was just making a point, through the day and in the various channels lots of people are saying the same thing. I cant tell you why or what has changed but what I can tell you with 100% certainty is that for me the generations I create now are really bad compared to a few months back. I have the proof sitting in my account with the hundreds upon hundreds of generations that are terrible quality all paid for in credits all in the trash. I could post 100 creations right here right now and say here you go tell me this doesn't sound bad but that would just tick people off. If this service was free nobody would have any reason to complain but the Pro and Premium subscribers should at least get the service they are paying for and that is useful good quality generations. Oh and please I am not attacking anyone at all I love Suno and everyone involved I am just frustrated at not being able to use what could have been fantastic generations. Like you say, as we approach 1/2 million discord users (not counting overall users), it's going to be easier to gather data if people are reporting these kinds of things. That doesn't dismiss the presence of muddy audio generations by ANY means, but it means that further investigation & analysis needs to happen to determine what the causes are.

I've asked previously if server load had anything to do with audio quality, and was assured that they don't intentionally generate lower quality audio at times of high server usage, but that doesn't rule out correlations and investigations that can be made into unintentional audio degradation.

Like Cobalt said, we don't have the ability to overlay lyrics onto the existing content, but if the uploaded audio has a strong enough musical theme for the AI to "hook onto" and extend, extended generations can potentially continue the melody with lyrics on top.

Not able to do so from the iOS app, but once the song is in your library, click the "extend" button from the uploaded audio, enter the style prompts and lyrics you'd like, and generate the extended song 🙂

Now that I'm uploading the lyrics to MusixMatch I've refined my workflow so I'm not timing them twice. I found a cool program that scrolls lyrics based on timecodes, so I cut and paste the finished timing from MusixMatch and use a little spreadsheet to fix 'em up for this app, and then I can have the lyrics scroll automatically. The bad thing is it has no way to choose a font so everything's in Roboto, but until I figure out how to code my own solution, this'll work. I can tell you more if anyone is interested.

I've been working with a new flow where I create intros with specific style tags. This works great, but then I end up with weird tags in the final song that don't match the actual song. For example, all the extensions for for this song are "downtempo boom-bap, dark triphop, turntablism, chopped n' screwed, slow cracked female voice", but the first bit was "hurdy-gurdy strings drone, diegetic". So now full song is tagged as "hurdy-gurdy strings drone, diegetic". 🤣

You don't need to always add that, and those type of extra long descriptions in the style prompts are not well understood. Adding lots of [stuff in brackets] will effect the music, but often unpredictably. So you don't need to add it at all. Musical descriptions in [brackets] do work, but adding multiple lines of very specific terms like 'production by blah blah' is very random if it does anything at all.

Don't get me wrong, I'm 100% on board for adding tons of long non-sung words into the lyrics (Check my Suno profile, it's full of that) but it's absolutely not necessary. It's great to experiment with for sure though.

These words are very strong effect.

These will still have some effect on the music style, but weaker than using them in the style tag.

3. [A large amount of all kind of words like in your example, in the lyrics] - A lot of these words are musical words with clear meanings, and others are descriptive. As a whole, there is likely some effect. But it's all mushed together and weak.

Now, sometimes when I want to do something extreme, I do use like 100 words in the lyrics. For example I might literally write [polka, polka, polka] 100 times, because I am trying to change the music style in a song extension entirely. And sometimes the best way to do that is to turn the polka up to 11 everywhere you can. Or for instrumentals.

I often do a 'lazy' version of a style strength power-up. I just copy my whole style prompt, exactly as it is, into the lyrics in [brackets] on top. This is almost certainly not optimal but as a quick lazy hack, it sometimes pushes the song just a little bit more into where I want to do.

Exactly -- when it sees "bpm", lets imagine the words that it associates are "hardstyle" "fast" "bass", you might start to notice those creeping in simply because you added "bpm". 100% untested example, but hopefully it helps to understand?

To restate it more clearly though: BPM is likely to make the song faster, because songs that are typically described with a BPM (any number) are typically faster songs, and hardstyle is a genre where BPM would be used a lot. (I'm not 100% sure this is true, but it's very plausible, and the correct type of thinking at least.)

The other thing that might blow you mind. Everything you just said about BPM. It's also true about the lyrics. Try prompting music genres using no style prompt, no [brackets], just write very genre-typical song lyrics. And it can work!

One workaround to it "getting stuck" on a misunderstanding is to rerephrase the idea in different ways to stack, so instead of bpm =70, we could try club music slow dance slow-drums (search this chat for "tokenization" for a neat breakdown on how using hyphens is another way to force Suno to look at a prompt differently)

This is a problem if, for example, you want to write a song with the lyrics like a Heavy Metal song, but sounds like a Christmas Carol. Sometimes in these cases the song doesn't seem to respect your style prompt very much. The solution is to use throwaway lyrics. Make the first line two of your lyrics be real, and everything else (4+ more verses) all by over-the-top christmas carol. Then Extend from just after the real lyrics, long enough for the music style to be established in the audio itself.

You can download you own songs, edit out a short sample of voice, and use that as an Upload. That can get you a bunch songs that sound a virtual band. However they not be abel to be set to Public.

You can do the same thing with regular Extends, but it's just more fiddly since you can't precisely control the start and end time of a vocal clip.

This was actually the only way to control music in Chirp V0. There was no style prompt. All you could do what write extremely evocative lyrics in one particular style. And it was extra annoying because, for example, any prompts with tons of words had a high chance of being rap. But all those indirect lyrics-on-music-style influences are still in the model, and in some niche cases, still necessary to dig into (to work around, if nothing else). But I also like 'style' prompting on purpose with pure lyrics, it's very fun.

Bark is like this too. You make voices by writing very evocative text prompts.

Another place this is useful is language accents. Instead of throwaway-tropey-genre-lyrics, use over-the-top-accent-examples as your throwaway lyrics. British ones would talk about scones and the Queen, or whatever. Jam it all in there to get Suno to sing in British.

I think it's likely that this type of prompting could solve the very common Mandarin/Cantonese complaints. Find phrases that are strong signals for one of the other, use them after your real lyrics, just a signal. But I briefly tried to do this and it was very hard for me to listen to a song and compare it against reference audio to check if it was correct, not having a bit of experience in either language. But I bet a native speaker could find some tricks!

I've found that, it likes and prefers to use certain lyrics much more often and much more smoother than the others. But I think, this again, is also related to how the "masses" uses Suno.

Style of Music: Medium Length Song <- This seems to help to make the songs shorter than 4 minutes

Oh, the other important style prompting concept it's good to be aware of: the shorter the clip being extending, the stronger the style prompt. So doing things like changing music genres is much more effect for a clip of a few seconds, and less effective by a lot for a clip of 1 or 2 minutes. This is a reason you may not want to "Get Whole Song" before you extend every time. This seems better to me in 3.5 though, it is not impossible to style shift a 1+ minute clip like it was before.

So I'm currently using a free app called LivePrompter 2 https://www.liveprompter.com/download/ and I set the background color to lime green and then use chromakey in OpenBroadcaster to show just the text. Then I just added a mask to that scene layer for the fades, like so:

I copy the lyrics and timestamps from MusixMatch and then reorganize them by doing a find/replace in Notepad++ and then I paste those results into a spreadsheet. The final column is what LivePrompter 2 needs, but I have to go in and add linebreaks with find/replace, then save the text file and viola.

Commas and full stops are probably first thing to try. Also line breaks (adding extra lines betweens words). Dashes: I real-ly like piz-za. Capital letters I really LIKE pizza. Regular punctuation, of course, I really like PIZZA!!!! Backup singers I really (like pizza).

For pauses you can also try metatags to insert pauses. [break] maybe? I forget what the good ones were off the top of my head.

It's a smaller factor, but using less lyrics in general could make the AI rush through the lyrics less. Remove the last verse or two from the prompt maybe worth trying.

I am in the same boat as you although the quality issues for me started before the UI upgrade. At the moment it seems to be a bit of a mystery as to what is causing this for the people experiencing it, a few people discussed it briefly here yesterday. BUT although like you I am wasting many hundreds a day and thousands of credits overall the key is to not give up and report your issues in the appropriate discord section. Hopefully v4 might give us some hope but all we can do is keep trying and report any findings if any present themselves with a fix. I was so pis**d off yesterday throwing away creation after creation which has been going on for a few weeks now but today is a new day and although I am still throwing away creation after creation I am not going to give up trying. Frustrating yes for sure, but hopefully it will get sorted.

I gave the splitter a quick test with Daft Punk's "Infinity Repeating" (the website encourages you to refine your musical skills by extracting the stems from any song) and while that song isn't overly lush, as Kaker would describe, I was still really surprised with the resulting quality of each stem.

The biggest issue I find with existing stem separators is that any "overlapping" sounds can be "wishboned", where a segment of audio that is intertwined between two separate stems gives priority to one track at the expense of the other -- seemingly as if the separation was done using destructive methods, opposed to using a control-sample to process multiple times, resulting in stems that might contain bits of similar audio data from other stems, but sound more overall cohesive to themselves

I wasn't really able to hyperanalyze someone else's song the same way I can trick my brain into working when "it's my song", so the next time I work on a project I'm going to analyze what I want to do with the .wav and try to make the same changes from start to finish 1) using my traditional setup and workflow (which utilizes a pretty decent PC setup), then 2) entirely in BandLab's free unlimited suite of web apps.

I have all the big boy players in stem separation, AI Restoration that I have purchased over the last few weeks and months Zynaptiq UNCHIRP, Zynaptiq UnFilter, Izotope Ozone 11 Advanced, Steinberg SpectraLayers Pro 11 just to name a few and none of them produce great results there is always that "Wishboned" effect cloudy muddy wish-washy artefact on vocals, but some you can hid quite well in a mix or even just to listen to the elements

I have the most experience with OpenVino because of the integration with Audacity. I was recently informed that OV is just an implementation of the htdemucs model with specific settings, but I haven't spent a lot of time playing around with specific stem separation models in UVR (which despite the name, separates a lot more than just voices). My friend @graceful condor was using that tool a bit more comprehensively, and last I checked had been attempting to use multiple models to further refine their stem isolation (using 1 vocal model trained on backing vocals, and one trained on lead vocals to catch "edge cases")

I've only heard more and more positive things about spectral analysis of songs, and my friend @naive quail (who I consider to be a highly talented musician and guitarist), recommends this type of process for removing unpleasant noises (or adorable, pleasant noises like cats meowing in the background, which as cute as they are, might not belong on a finished album 😛 😻)

It's quite frustrating, since I want to establish a standard, a unity in customizing the layout of the videos I generate.

There is not even the possibility of deleting the default image generated by the platform.

For usual causes:

• Could be on the next page (blue circle for pagination)
• A filter is enabled (yellow circle)
• Accidentally trashed (red arrow to access the trash bin)
• You are in the create screen, not library, and the piece was down voted (which causes the entry to be hidden)
• The text filter option can be finicky. Try to use as much of the full title as possible or unique keywords if the first attempt failed.
• Accidentally overlooked the entry (with text filter disabled). May need to reload the page first.
• Logged in to another account (can double check by going to your profile)

@charred merlin I just figured out why my songs keep getting deleted when I don't delete them...Somehow, multiple songs get selected, seemingly at random. Notice in this screen shot that three songs are selected. It's possible also that songs are selected OFF the screen. When I try to click on a DIFFERENT song to deselect those, the selected songs change, but not in an entirely predictable way. HUGE bug. I have deleted a number of songs in the last week, and I didn't know how. Now I know.

I just had three songs selected and intentionally deleted them to see what would happen, and sure enough all of them deleted. I cannot use ctl-click to deselect them either.

I figured out after a while of continued attempts that I am still getting instrumentals. I just had an unusual run of getting vocals in all of my instrumentals for a bit

And for anyone who is experiencing this, I found that the best way to prevent it seems to be providing a series of bracketed instructions as lyrics instead of checking ‘instrumental’

Here’s an example of what seemed to work for (mostly) preventing vocals when included as the lyrics:

the best way to get good lyrics is to tell it to "show, don't tell" which makes it more descriptive and interesting than the usual AI dribble, and generate a verse at a time. give it a rough idea on what it should be about or how to continue from the previous verse, and just keep generating that verse until you've got through the whole song! (altho i prefer writing from scratch and only use AI for filler lyrics or quick ideas)

Unfortunately there isn't a lot to investigate unless there's steps to reproduce the error, but having it well documented like you have makes it way easier to collect the data and analyze emerging trends.

If it were me approaching the issue, I'd handle the issue through 2 separate extension points; 1 to fix the lyrics, 1 to end the song.

I'm guessing there's been a bunch of generations that have nailed the lyrics, but you might have considered them "wasted" because they didn't do the second thing as well.

You can take the best sounding result, even if it's only a 3 second extension, and then create another extension point after that to force the end of the song.

If you wait til the last second (trying to be efficient, or simply didn't notice), there's a CHANCE you can make it off, but likely you'll just end up almost crashing and having to swerve back into a weird driving pattern to try to continue on as normal until another chance to end comes up

To answer the question more directly, if you're using an extension point by itself to force the end of a song, ideally you want to go a couple beats before the musical bar ends.

Also ideally, you would only use the single style prompt, as even including a few words in the lyrics might overpower Suno's inclination to end the song.

If going back a couple beats would overwrite lyrics, you can try to include just those lyrics, in a hope that Suno understands to sing just those lyrics, then continues to "end" the song as guided by the single styl prompt.

Basically, I will write out song lyrics and Suno will think something besides the chorus is the chorus even though it's labeled with brackets.

In the past, I have copy and pasted the chorus more than once to try to get the AI to just read beginning to end straightforward. Does anyone have any advice here on Chorus?

The structure tags aren't explicit instructions, and there isn't a way to force Suno to interpret something as a command with 100% certainty; saying [verse 1], [verse 2], [chorus] are suggestions to help it understand the structure you intend it to have, but the more you hand Suno at once, the more is has to get confused with.

It might be a simple block of lyrics, but each sentence is a separate ball to hand to a juggler -- if you find that they're dropping things or mixing things up, give them less to juggle at once.

Piece together smaller, more controllable chunks (extensions) and use "Get Whole Song" for the final result.

Used my daily creds to test this. I extended from 03:53 with nothing but the Outro in the lyrics box. It concluded after the Outro was sung, but picked back up after some silence because... v3.5 😄 I then extended from that silence using v3 with [End] in the lyrics box and "End" in the style and title and got 4 more seconds of silence. So that worked.

I am not good with extensions yet. Currently trying to improve on the little bits of songs that enhance them (echo, repeats, instruments, etc). I was more asking how to type the structure.

For example, to get an end result of ABABCB, (where A is a verse, B is the chorus, and C is the bridge), which would be best to type:

Ya and in the end game whichever method gets the result needed is fine either way, both routes generate bad results, and both can generate what might be wanted, however if you do add parcing of any kind, it can take away some if not all of the good chaos theory the AI can present, which may add more to the song, so if someone wants that extra bit of flare, going the way you suggested is probly best too, so experimentation for both routes is a must.

The songs are grouped into separate and command, with the subgrouping of command-punctuated, as I realized that I didn't add punctuation to the command group.

Each group has four v3 generations, and four v3.5 generations, for a total of 24 songs to compare from.

It appears that "Wait 2 seconds" is spoken in every instance of the command groups, while separate added space between the words, with varying degrees of length (which again, could be controlled by placing an extension point before you wanted to space out the words, and roll a few generations based on whatever example from the above playlist sounded like a better fit ❤️

SUNO isn't extending at all on 3.5. I made a simple instrumental song, it's 1:56, I like it, I press Extend, don't touch anything else, i press "Create".

It crates a 3 second clip, refunds my credits, and there's nothing in that clip, so i delete it.

I've tried to extend from just before the song ends, and in the middle, and it always extends enough ot make the whole 1:56 song....only two or three seconds longer.

You'll probably get some success starting a few seconds before the end of the song (say [1:51]) and changing both the style prompt AND the song name. Don't worry it'll have the original name when the complete song is put together and the style won't change 'too dramatically'. If that doesn't work you can change to 3.0, regen until you have a good continuation, then continue on extending the song with 3.5.

I've read other Suno users say 'hallucinations' will sometimes happen on Instrumental songs.
It'll sing without word prompts because it forgets it's doing an Instrumental.

I have no proof of this, but I read that the Suno watermark is sound embedded at a level the human ear cannot perceive.
Thinking about what you said, it could be that sub-embbeded watermark that is causing some of these hallucinations.

To me this sounds like it is vocalising the tags, which it often does if it doesn't understand them.

00:10 - "Four on the floor" (in your 1st drum tag)
00:13 - "Shuffle feel" (in your 10th drum tag)

It seems to repeat some of these a few times afterward. Repeating lyrics is also something Suno often does, so it's likely using the tags as lyrics and then repeating them when it reaches the end of the "lyrics".

Can you share the song you're extending from? It might be that you're extending from silence, but sometimes v3.5 just gets "stuck" on a spot, and moving the extension point only makes minimal changes. In those instances, it can be helpful to swap to v3 for an extension so it can get a little more "versatile" and not care about following the existing song structure so much.

Hey. There's not an "edit" to the lyrics to make any changes to your present song you created. You can click the 3-dot menu drop button located just to the right or below the song title, and click "reuse prompt" , then click create and the lyrics will show up. Make any revisions and click CREATE again to run another itteration of the song.

But if you want to keep the style of the original, using as much of the original helps by clicking the 3-dot menu button, choose EXTEND, click create to see your lyrics and song, scroll down to see the extend box and time highlighted. Manual change the extend time to the edit point where you're making the first lyric changes, make your edits ( and removing any lyrics before that point, then click CREATE and run a new Extention, then click 3-dot on the new extension to then choose Whole Song. To get back a whole song with new edits and sound similar to the original you liked.

Does the issue persist after you close & reopen the browser? If so, please share a screenshot of what your Suno page looks like when you're pressing "create"

Is this windows? And do you have another disk besides C:? If so, you can remap that directory to it using symbolic links. First, move the suno folder to d:\some\folder\suno (wherever as long as it's not on the C drive) and then in a command window type mklink \J "C:\Users\User2\.cache\suno" "D:\some\folder\suno" which will make your PC think that folder is still on C drive. Although, I suppose with only 800MB of free disk space, if you're in Windows you've got other problems.

If you don't have another disk, the only solution is to delete files until you have enough space. Empty the recycle bin, delete old files and videos you don't need, etc.

As for your GPU, which GPU are you using?

No. You can try using [End] as a tag, but the only way to get Suno to end when you want is to keep trying until it does. Or edit the song outside of Suno.

If it helps, generate the song you want first, then after listening to it, find a point where you want to end, go back a little bit and create an extension point from there -- don't use any lyrics, and only put "end" or "goodbye" or something in the style prompt

Mileage varies with each model, but I find the best success making the forced-ending extension with v3

I do not know if [goodbye] will work but [end] is one of the ending tags like [Fade] and [Big Finish].

Just remember that 3.5 is not that great at ending songs. If you really want to end something in Suno, like harber mentioned earlier, extend to where you want to end with an Extend and make sure that extesion is set as v2.0 or v3.0

Alternatively, you can manually trim the song with a DAW like Audacity

That's taking an existing song, going a minute into it, and creating an extension that JUST says "goodbye" or something similar in the style prompt. No lyrics, nothing else. Anything else confuses suno as to what you want to do.

And just saying "end" in the metatags can mean so much. "The point where a song stops?" "The stylistic end of a song?" "The denouement?"

Generating worked fine for a looong time, it breaks like this just 3 days ago.

Ideally you shouldn't have to fiddle with extensions and external software, but just for the sake of presenting a more thorough bug report as a means of expediting results for you, could you;

1. disable bitdefender & try again, then if it still persists...
2. try turning off all extensions and see if it persists?

Might need to close and reopen browser before each attempt to try again

Typically this is because you're extending from an uploaded clip that was detected as having vocals (sometimes can be a false positive).

100% worth reaching out to [e-mail] -- make sure that you include all of the troubleshooting steps that I shared with KGT (including the followups), be detailed in explaining exactly what you did and what happened vs what you expected to happen.

Bringing it up as a bug in the #🪲┃bugs-web channel lets the devs know there's things going on to investigate, but unless the devs see your post and have a specific question for you, it's more of a passive thing. There's guides, moderators, alpha testers & advanced users who try to share perspective and help give ideas to solve the issues, but it's all basically "unofficial discord support" at the moment unless you explicitly ask them.

Some people might get frustrated if they try all of the steps that are suggested to them & it doesn't "solve the issue" for them, but even reporting that something didn't work can help the support team isolate what the issue is.
The more detailed in your feedback, the more likely they are to be able to solve your issue -- help them help you.

Quick explanation;

Free accounts are limited to 50 credits per day, and it can never go over 50 -- they need to come back each day and make 5 generations, then wait.

Paid accounts get all of the monthly credits (plus a big bonus), and are allowed to spend them all at once.
