Hello everyone! Happy Friday to my fellow artists and creators!
I have been writing for many, many years. When I first found out about and used SUNO, I was amazed at what was possible.
It's got me revisiting many of my past pieces and writing new stuff after a very long time, which has been amazing to experience in so many positive ways.
I wanted to take a moment and share something that I recently posted.
The song is called "what picture do I keep?". I wrote it in honor of my close friend Jamie who was tragically and suddenly killed in a car accident back when I was in high school over 20 years ago.
I wanted to write something that honored her life, that showed the many sides of her complicated life, and most importantly, described how I felt this world lost when she died. The original piece was a poem that I shared with her family and read at her funeral. I think everyone can relate to the feelings I tried to express and share with this piece. Life is so complicated, so very short, and we all just need that one person who cares and makes sure all of our legacies and stories are not lost.
