Basically I generated a song, re-wrote all instrumentals and kept the vocals from Suno. Originally i used RVC to change the voice but it degraded the (already meh) quality of the voice so I decided to keep the original this time and just slap a bunch of effects on it to cover up the bad quality lol

This is one of my favorite generations. The original was just way too distorted and such. Almost not playable lol. I made a post in suggestions about this that has the original audio. But... Right. I was just curious becase the prior chirp/card had Outro as a command in it as well, but then that last chirp/card just had Outro in it. I'm fine with a little short chirp if it closes out the song nicely. For me, I've dusted off GarageBand (from about ten years ago) so it's super easy to get a nice close for any fuller song now.

I forget how long ago it first occurred to me to attempt something like this but I hadn't been using Chirp for long when I idly thought to myself that Christmas was coming eventually and wouldn't it be cool...

Then I tried for a while to come up with new songs and really didn't like my output.

So I started haunting about the interwebs for which songs were public domain.

A surprisingly large amount of good songs are still locked away for decades or more. But some of the classics are available and I think I managed to make a go of it.

Had to really focus on trying to be transformative. It's not exactly possible to give Chirp a melody and tell it to do that.

But I did manage a few things that seemed to work for me.

1. Produce music and sell on platforms, there is quite a competition there with artists
2. Produce background scores for content creators
3. Ad jingles for small and medium size enterprises and general mom and pop stores
4. Kids rhymes

The best thing is it can be in your own language so market is quite big in such a case if we try targetting small and medium size enterprises

Hey, I have found a song here made with Suno that I really liked, so I thought to try myself to make it sound better by separating the instrumentals and vocals with a third-party software and then use FL Studio to combine them and edit them separately like you would with a human-made song. I'm not an expert on this but I tried anyway and this is the result. Unfortunately, I lost the song post of the guy so I couldn't contact him directly. If he is interested, I can send him the separate tracks so he can try it himself. The first soundtrack is my edited version, and the second is the original. What do you think? Or do you have any tips on how to improve AI songs in general (especially if you had all the instrumentals as separate tracks)?

Ok. So there are 2 versions here. The original directly from the Suno Web UI. The second is a bit more wet so to speak. I use FL Studio as my DAW. It has an AI Stem Separation tool that separates Vocals, Drums, Bass and Instruments. So I used it. I added some chorus and reverb on the vocals and some room space on the instruments and turned the bass mono. Along with some AI smart compression on all 4 elements. Let me know what you think for the edited version? I also De-Clipped and De-Clicked the original as well.

many more modern genres aren't really precisely defined, so it's often a combo of related styles that produce cool results. also changing the order of the same styles can help. the 1st usually gets more weight. for VITESSE i used: "synth-pop, synth-wave, dream-pop, post-punk, female vocals" and regenerated until i liked it. it's with SUNO Web App, not Discord version.

the reverb def helps to overcome the "dryness" of the original, but it currently sounds like "bathroom" size. use a larger room preset, or tweak the settings. more "hall" than "room".

there's a type of reverb sometimes called "icyverb" or "ice reverb" or similar. it tends to give more reverb to the higher frequencies and less to the lows. go for that. ❄️

ok. i use after-effects. but a general tip is to set ideal export options for this special kind of "video", as in:
video quality way more down than usual for regular video, but audio quality more up. it's video that is large, not so much audio.
a non moving image gives you smallest video size, since there is no difference from fram to frame. should you for example zoom in, every frame will be different which means larger video filesize. 😉

just keep this in mind: VideoQ as low as possible, AudioQ as high as possible. do tests. re-encoding music which was already encoded tends to degrade the frequencies, high AudioQ at export keeps this more in check. 😉 a 3min20sec song of mine is about 16mb as a video. very reasonable.
