Why is it every time the service goes down it happens mid-generation and those credits just get lost and not refunded. Same thing happened a few months ago, I emailed support multiple times and never received a resolution. Really very dissatisfied with support for paying customers. What I noticed is that when I tried to cover another song, it uses the lyrics from that song, so, the [Instrumental] is from the original track, instead of generating a new one or Manual lyrics.

The feature should just work, suno is expensive and I lose many credits trying to do this every time it stops working, and checking if it's fixed.

See there's a whole thing with character limits. If I want to generate lyrics there's a 200 character limit, that is not enough. The Auto Lyrics was the workaround already, because it allows 400 characters (I think, or maybe it's 500). I wanted to use the Simple mode, but they don't make lyrics model available to select in simple mode and the character limit keeps me from making a good sound prompt + lyrics prompt.

About the "Auto" mode, it's like the thing is unplugged from where it should be and plugged directly into the original song's lyrics 🙂

Okay I've tried in different formats of the same prompts, the limit of 500 characters is gone, I can go beyond that now. But the format of my prompts isn't helping much, I'll try to find what's breaking the prompt. I use things such as "style { item 1, item 2, item 3 }" and I also use emojis sometimes. I'll figure out which one is breaking it. Not that my prompts are great prompt engineering, I'm actually ashamed of my method.

BUG: When you upload a 9x16 image or video it gets cutoff all over the place now. If you suggest a 9:16 image in the upload then the system should respect that aspect ratio all over the place and fit the full image. If it doesn't it makes the asthetic garbage for every song.

I gotta bug....Im using Firefox on PC and a few days ago Suno's site started to sputter, spits, and stalls rhythmically whether you are generating, listening, or browsing. I have cleared the cache to no avail. It also causes some generations of songs not to get the signal they are finished until the page is reloaded. This is frustrating, the constant thing where the page is paralyzed for a second, then works for 2-3 seconds, repeat. No other website does this just Suno.

Did you have previous songs in the playlist that you deleted from your library? I found that if I've done that the playlist still polls for them (the circle under the second song) but cannot display them. To fix it you would need to go to trash, restore them, remove them from the playlist, then trash them again. I usually just move songs to a new playlist and delete the 'broken' one as it's easier.

As from today I got a problem with the 5.5 model. When generating a instrumental song it starts mid-song and it wont generate a longer song than 1 minute. Tried with an old prompt that worked before and its the same.
With the model 5.0 it works, but with a lesser quality. Feels like the 5.5 model is very inconsistent and new bugs regularly pops up.

Yeah, it's a silly bug. Unfortunately the only way around it that I know of is to create a new playlist and move the songs you want to it. You might have the same issue in workspaces. My "My Workspace" has 36 songs but there's nothing in it. I know Suno have bigger fish to fry, but these are QoL fixes that a first year developer could probably fix.

Interesting you mention that LA works. I posted above about being unable to use Voices in Chicago, or in many VPN states I tried. London worked - and Los Angeles works. I have the Voices option back. There should be a placeholder message on the page when a feature is removed for 'geographical' reasons.

not sure if a bug, but in the create form there is a snag. Previously there was a setting under Other where you set the lyrics to be either manual or auto. I think you may have forgotten to tell that it's now moved up to the top of the lyrics field as a dropdown...

My main suspect here would be the 9% Weirdness slider. The vocalisations are likely being brought out by something in the style prompt, and with the stlye influence being 90% that may be increasing the chance of that happening. Hard to say for certain though due to the nature of AI.

I'd recommend seeing if using default sliders helps. If unwanted vocalisations persist, experiment with the style prompt e.g. remove parts of it to see if there's a particular word or phrase triggering this to happen.

Not sure where to post this. Don't really know if it is a bug but, it is very frustrating. Suno keeps putting the piano into my songs even when instructed not to. This causes me to use extra credits when I have ot keep rewording things to get rid on the piano after I already told it not to use a piano. Is there a way to get Suno to do what you ask it to instead of what it wants to even when you tell it exactly what you want?

The same thing happens when I want a song by a single male vocal and no chorus/choir - Suno will throw in a female singer for a verse or two and/or add backing vocals when I tell it not to

My Suno is unusable, the interface of the website changes regardless of the browser and now is full of unlabelled clickables. Version 5.5 either makes very short songs under 2 minutes or makes 7:59 songs where it repeats the same lines or verses over and over again.

Studio issue: Stem doesn't generate what i'm prompting. It doesn't give me 'just' a backing vocal. It gives me all on one stem backing vocal, lead vocal and guitar. Same with instruments. It doesnt give me just the instrument it gives me what i'm picking but also extra drums, guitar, etc. I haven't been able to finish any songs in studio for a week so hopefully this can be resolved soon? Hello I would like to report a legacy model bug that exists between v4 and v3.5 (yes, I know it's old/obsolete, still want to share it with yall!)
Whenever I click on the "Get full song" option on any extended parts of v4, it may show v4 BUT... the sound quality is straight from v3.5

I've experienced the same issue as you have and am currently not using Studio much except to salvage 7:59 bug tracks, but I've heard that v5 handles stem generation better than v5.5, though I haven't tried this myself so just take it as hearsay.

Im glad you replied! Since my panic message i figured it out! It was on my end in Google chrome there is a deeper cache clearing needed in the inspect area under the application tab then local storage. If you clear that and a few others there while on the suno site it gives you a fresh visit to suno. Then when I tried it again it gave me a clean stem. I think because I keep suno open all the time, and use studio everytime after a few weeks that somehow caches locally so many settings somehow so I had to clear all of it and it fixed the problem. I am preparing instructions in case anyone isnt familiar with the inspect area of chrome or if it will help anyone else? Phew! Im so glad im back up and running now.

I thought that too and don't know how but somehow it allowed me to have clean stem again and it was only giving me backing vocals and not all 3 in one stem. My prompt didnt change either. So that somehow worked for me. All I know is that it worked thank goodness. I am a web developer for a living and had to do it recently working with another website is how I learned about that local storage area under inspect.

I don't use inspector very often but I'm quite familiar with software in general. I know there's been a lot of speculation here in the server about Suno changing and tweaking "the model," which I've always assumed is more like changing the pre-processing from what the user inputs before it goes into the model. I remember for a while Suno would process the same prompts completely differently depending on the day you put the request in, and that being repeatable across different models. That often gets used as evidence that the models are "getting dumber" or something but it's almost certainly tweaking on the pre-processing stage. That's what my money would be on as to the culprit here.

I've done local AI stuff (image only), and I've dug into how LLMs work. Suno's got to know what to do if you say "rock" and nothing else, so that's where the enhancer button - as far as I can speculate - is likely exactly what their backend is doing with our prompts. Because if you just type one-word prompts, Suno will absolutely make a complete song anyway even without the enhancer, we know it's doing its own expansion behind the scenes. So if it receives "Backing vocals" it's probably expanding that too much and voila, you get a whole track instead.

Similar issue is like the cover generator. If you use the enhancer while trying to make an image, it'll start writing out instrumentation instructions as if it thinks it's still trying to make a song. We as the user know that's borked, but if you hit generate anyway it's going to do exactly what "you" asked.

In general I've tried very detailed prompts and very basic prompts and seem to get better results from the simplified prompts so that sounds like it means suno fills in the gaps on its own in the backend to round out the song. I briefly dug into that seeing if it was possible to have a credit free scenario on a local machine so it sounds like it is possible? I would still think you need an api to a mainframe somewhere to get data from? I do have alot to learn and fascinated by the subject.

Generally I find Suno's prompt enhancer is pretty good. I sometimes do A-B tests with my basic prompt, then enhance it, then tweak the enhancement. Gemini and Claude are pretty good at writing detailed prompts to tweak from. I have no musical background besides listening to every genre, so it's nice to lean on AI to help me with terminology.

Same...I use the enhancer too because if I use the exact same prompt as a song that I loved previously I will get a same sounding song even melody wise which seems odd to me so the enhancer changes it in another way to give me something completely new. Then if I love the verse and chorus but not bridge ill take it into legacy and change just the bridge until I love it too. Then take that whole song into studio to add my own touches like additional instruments, or edit it for pacing on some parts that run too long and adding backing vocals, etc. Its just so fun and rewarding at the end when done. I then make music videos to share on my YouTube channel which is a whole other fun part of the process ♡

The best way to use extend I find is to make sure style influence is at 50% and audio is also at 50% (or you could try 25%). If you set them higher say at what you had them for genning the song you won't get it matching well and it introduces differences especially the style. Also you can change the prompt to reflect what you want for for the extend - but change knowing it to compliment the already genned part. And of course make sure you use the same model as it does not automatically change to the model if you have used other models - the last used model is what is used unless you change it.

I can still find the Lyrics mode option and select Auto. That is not the issue.

The issue is that the previous Auto Lyrics panel/window has changed or disappeared. Until about an hour ago, there was a different Auto Lyrics interface where I could choose multiple options at the same time. Now that window/interface is gone and the UI looks completely different.

Was this an intentional update, or is it a bug on my side/account? I’m using Suno from Korea on the web version.

If I download an original track I generated with Suno today, work with it in DAW to crop it/shorten it, I cannot upload it back to Suno any more. Error message says "content cannot be verified."

😢 Hello, since yesterday, I haven't been able to generate a voice (using my own voice—a cappella—which I recorded with Audition and uploaded). The file is 73 seconds long, 25 MB, and is a .wav file.
I get past the text verification step, but then I consistently get the message: "Upload failed."
Once I managed to get past the upload, it ended up telling me that my file couldn't be accepted without verification.

Reporting a potential regression in the V5.5 Cover feature compared to V5 when using uploaded vocals:

**The Issue: **V5.5 struggles with rhythm. It stretches sentences and adds weird pauses where they don't belong, breaking the song structure.
**Comparison: **V5 handles this perfectly. It stays on beat and keeps the structure intact. Even when I try to "Cover" a successful V5 generation with V5.5, the timing issues reappear.
**Settings: **Changing "Audio Influence" doesn't seem to fix the stretching/pauses in V5.5.

V5 is currently much more reliable for following the timing of uploaded material. Could you guys look into the rhythm/timing logic for V5.5?

MASHUPS - Incomplete Mixing
Not sure if this a WEB thing or a V5.5 thing, but MASHUPS of 3+minutes and under 4 minutes minutes have been truncating down to 1 & 1/2 MINUTES as incomplete songs. I'd like to say more to come, but this has been going on for at least a week, with no end in sight.

EXTEND in 5.5 is buggy: probably the same as just reported before. I've noticed in 2 different consecutive occasions that extending uploaded songs creates a weird and unsuable sound, like the microphone which capture the sund would be in the water. Or like a halucination. Or like a "mega hallucination"!
It does not happen with 4.5+.

Hello, thank you for your suggestion. I would like to clarify my experience in more detail.

When I select the instrumental option, the interface does not allow me to enter any text in the lyrics field, as this appears to be restricted by default. Based on your advice, I attempted to switch to manual mode in order to input placeholder text using only periods. However, this did not resolve the issue. The generated output still included vocals and lyrics despite these adjustments.

I'm using Suno Studio for the first time, and when I regenerate vocals in a track, it always has other instruments with it or its a whole song instead of just being acapella vocals. I've been experiencing problems with your service for over a month now. Here's a summary:

1. I don't see the 600 credits I should have. For the last month, I've consistently had 0 credits every day, despite you repeatedly telling me the credits were actually there and available.

2. Despite the constant 0 credits every day, I've never even received the 50 daily credits I used to receive when my credits ran out.

3. Today, May 7th, as you've told me several times, I should have had my monthly subscription credits renewed, but today, too, my credits are 0!!!!

I've already tried logging out and logging in, changing browsers, clearing the cache, and browsing in incognito mode.

That raises another question about multiple passes (which I always do when making a cover - who doesn't?): is the author even notified about that? Because covers from multiple passes simply don't appear in the "remix" list on the right column, whether it's a bug or by design. Well mine never do, except one or two that were a single pass.
& thus I always leave a note on the original song when I've made a cover, as I have no clue if the author is even notified.

The same way, the link to the original song isn't displayed when you're not registered or logged in suno when you view a cover. (which is why I also always add the link to the original song in the info box)

the biggest BUG with suno on the web for me is the dreadful stereo drift, causing the 'drainpipe' sound effect appearing gradually. it usually begins by 1 minute into 2-4 min creations. If you listen to the start and then the end of the track you can usually hear the effect, listening over time you can easily miss it. Anyone know what i'm trying to describe? i can come back with examples. but most pronounced is when the creation goes rogue, you know when it takes forever to create and ends up being 7 mins, adds a voice when you asked for instrumental and sounds like the whole thing is being played thru a drainpipe. i've sent examples to support, but i'm not holding my breath. i have paid a lot to suno and it's defintely getting worse, probably by design - i mean why give you what you want, if they can give you nearly what you want and get more moeny out of us?

Because the current way also prevents mastering/editing offline (although it's much less needed with 5.5), as reimporting breaks the link. For me, it's not that the login isn't working - the pages simply don't load. I have one page - my library - still open from earlier and it functions; including notifications. But if I try to open a new window or tab, it won't load. And it won't load on my phone browser at all either.

On a whim i was in my car in a parking lot and i tried to sign in on the web browser on my phone, i put in the phone number and I got a code but google voice said it was suspected spam. But i was able to login and i told google voice it isnt spam. So now I am getting codes. However, there is no way to change your phone or email address in your account on suno, its like THEY have to do it, thats a little odd dont you think?

A bug that is really bothering me: People that I have blocked still show up in my "Similar" songs feed. Drives me crazy to be listening to one of my songs and then the next song that plays, based on Suno recommendation, is an artist that I have blocked

maybe its one of the repeats. when lyrics end but the music doesnt it will loop around and start from the intro again. thats normal. it will sometimes do it different and this is something that should be preserved - its these loops that i find interesting ideas to make new songs

Were you using the prompt you posted in simple mode? I just tried your prompt in Simple mode (Sliders at Weird 55%, Style 95%) I did 4 creates and didn't get any swearing. Remi was obsessed with mirrorballs tho, the four tracks were called Mirrorball Runner, Mirrorball Fever, Neon Heel Tap and Mirrorball Hotline.

what is the point, if we select "full song" and you STILL apply a massive (& variable) gain reduction, forcing us to go boost the volume in the editor, for a track that we've just mastered offline?

and I know, loudness war & all, we shouldn't destroy dynamics & all, but this is stupid in the other direction:

IMHO if we upload a 48khz (since that's what Suno seems to be working with) track, you shouldn't mess with anything.
Of course I don't know how you store internally, I date to hope it's uncompressed and only compressed for playback. I also assume it's 16bit (or is it 32 float?)

Also I see it's just a wizard and I don't think any of the other options will skip the volume change. But I was hoping for it to be the end of the styles being those weird long descriptions, and it KINDA is, but you're still replacing it with something that doesn't necessarily fit the style, only now it's a short guess instead of a long useless description:

The new song editor (beta) seems to ignore at least "Exclude styles" for generating replacements. Not sure if the "Styles"-box has any effect, as it's more difficult to verify.

Noticing this when replacing female/male vocalists by having the wanted in "Styles" and unwanted in "Excluded styles". The new song editor makes the replacement by the existing vocalist gender (meaning the gender of the singer is not changed), when the legacy editor correctly follows the style instructions and changes the vocalist's gender.

Also thumbs up/down for the replacements in the new song editor seems to be bugged. The icon for thumb up/down gets highlighted in the dialog on the track, but pretty much anywhere else they are not updated, like the Edits tab in the new song editor, or in legacy editor. Also replacement generations do not always show up in the new song editor even when waiting for a long time, and when clicking the replacement generation button again, you might get the new ones + the old ones in the queue (so 2 + 2). Also in the new song editor the generations often just seems to get stuck and you get the forever spinner, if you happen to be lucky enough to even get the placeholder in the queue.

All in all, the new song editor seems hella buggy. I would like to use it instead of the legacy one tho, as you can do more than one edit before baking the changes as final song. In the legacy editor you can only do one change at a time, that slows down the process a lot and probably also degrades the sound quality for the final result more. So I hope the new editor will get fixed and improved at some point.

I've done what I can to confirm this on my end, if anyone else can confirm the crash thatd be appreciated, but I was confirming for someone else already who says this happens on phones as well

• Weirdness 52% (default is 50%)

• Style Influence 83% - it should not have any influence on the hallucination since it is about the prompt and this values in new generation does not make hallucinations,
  only in extend !

• Audio Influence 65% - is not much actually, this tells only how exactly it should copy the sound.
  This does not make hallucinations in covers even when you set it to 80-90%

I have used lower values as well. While that might be the case, I have many songs where the similarity is 100% for style and there were no issues.
100% audio might be the issue, but I have tried with lower ex 60% and the same thing happens.
I will give it a try in the future.

But I can tell you that 100% style similarity works in general. If that is the culprit then it means only certain songs will get affected and if the extension gets poisoned by the original then that should also be looked into imo.

Extend has been a mess for so long... there are now at least 3 different ways to Extend a track and they're all somewhat broken.

Back in v3.5-v4 days when generation was limited to 4 mins "Extend" in the context menu let you pick a timecode to extend from, enter lyrics for the extension (or a tag like [instrumental outro]), edit the style prompt and generate candidates. "Get Whole Song" would fuse the parts together into a new track. It was a dice roll but generally you'd get something usable after a few attempts. The option still exists, but extends often seem to ignore what you put in the lyrics box and randomly repeat lyrics from earlier in the track instead, then fail to end the song.

Then Editor was introduced with an extend option that worked much the same but with better UI - choose a time to extend from, edit the lyrics and style prompt if needed and generate candidates until you got one that was good. This still exists and is probably the best bet for a usable extension, but it's buried in "Legacy Editor" and also seems prone to ignoring the replacement lyrics to repeat random earlier lyrics instead - especially annoying if you just need a short instrumental outro because the original didn't quite end when it should.

Then the new editor arrived, which also has an Extend option, but if it works at all I can't figure it out... split/delete then create a new section and it says "Use new lyrics", but you only get "new lyrics" if you select some old lyrics, which then selects that part of the song instead of adding them to the new extend section... confusing and as far as I can tell it's not really usable as-is.
