Sorry if the mistakes have already been mentioned, but many of my songs stop in the middle. After about 3 minutes it's over.
The lyrics are not too long either.
What the AI also did very often with me was that the actual song was finished after 2 minutes and then something else was simply added. Either an a cappella version that stops in the middle or a completely different melody.
In the last few days, out of ten songs, maybe one was correct, the others had mistakes.
I particularly noticed this with EXTEND.
I always have to edit the songs afterwards.

agreed. sound quality has a lot of noise (over saturdated sound) now at times. If we had stems, I might be able to clean it up. but, pulling apart noise from all of it, not possible with my tools.

I don't think they can do much about the quality until v4. There wasn't even a v3.5 originally planned but v3 seemed to have enough issues that I think 3.5 was made to relieve some of the problems that could be addressed until v4 is ready.

Currently, when doing an Upload extend (which auto selects v3.5), if v3, was previously selected, the system still acts with the v3 limitations in place. Only started this morning.
I've closed and reopened my browser, and logged out and in.

you can get 4 songs with just 10 credits if you generate the next one while the old is still generating that means that they didn't took the credits that fast so it still counts as if you have 10 credits you know what i mean?

I wish there were an option to specify "do not include any dangling lyrics at the end of the song." Often in v 3.5 there will be a great song that, somewhere between 3:30 and 4:00 starts repeating earlier lyrics, and then gets cut off halfway. And then it's quite hard to extend from that point and make the model wrap the song up. So I can think of two solutions. You can specify that it end on a full lyric at the outset of a generation. Or post-generation with a dangling lyric, you can have an option like the "Extend" but that's like "Abridge" and you can specify a time when to wrap the song up...with no additional lyrics.

agree. I use Reaper and Studio One and still can't fix the quality that is acceptable. It seems to happen mostly for me when there are synths and often the vocals when they hit the higher frequencies. Stems would be great.

I've tried increasing the bass too, but oftentimes it comes out sounding boxy. Stems would make it easier.

I had someone tell me they thought the music sounded 'bland'. I was like -- tell me more of why think that. They said "just isn't catchy". After thinking and analyzing the songs, I think it is the lack of harmonic melodies and other musical nuances to stand out. I can add my own. But, it is hard when I don't have the stems to help it sit well in the mix. When I use stem separating tools, just doesn't sound good individually. I really like Suno, but maybe a few iterations away from production level quality.

Just eliminate them from the start. I'd rather have a flat song I can punch up the EQ in post, than deal with the noise issue its spitting out right now. Stems will help but could still ruin a good song. Also for my light pass is Bass 4, Tremble -2. That draws down on the higher noise sounds and covers up a bit with more bass for the lower ranges. But some songs are unsavable and it's really gut wrenching because other than the noise or human-turn cyborg vocals, they were AMAZING songs.

This is very odd. The MP3 file you download is the same one that is played in the browser so there should be no difference.

Which browser are you downloading with?

Are you playing the downloaded files on the same device as you are accessing the website, using the same speakers/earphones?

Does it happen when playing the downloaded files with several apps?

Can you give an example Suno link and send the downloaded MP3 here?

I get that there are probably songs out there that already use that particular effect, but even if I set up my own equipment and dial into my own personal server running in a virtual environment it still gets flagged. Just to follow-up on this here for visibility (since we discussed it in DMs): Using a provided Suno song link and MP3 file, I played each through Edge, in Discord and through VLC and did a loopback recording into Audacity. The waveforms pretty much looked identical and cutting each up and joining them together resulted in a consistent volume level.

So, unsure what is happening here but it seems Edge for this user is playing the Suno website louder than other things.

You could make the first part as a pure instrumental then have the future parts (via Extend) with vocal lyrics.

I found that if you are looking to make a pure instrumental song, use instrumental tags in the lyric box rather than using the instrumental switch.

It avoids hallucination and pads out the max time (as well as giving you control on how/what you want)

Example:

Try to have a specific city of region like Beijing Mandarin, East China Mandarin, etc.

(Unfortunately I do not speak the language so I cannot help you with that)

The best suggestion I can give is check Explore or Suno's Home page for songs that uses Mandarin and see what styles they used

These are "hallucinations" and tend to have a higher chance to happen for genres where there is usually a strong vocal presence. To the AI, the vocals are just another instrument and when you input lyrics it kind of gives the vocals some guidance as to how they should sound. The "instrumental" switch just turns off the lyrics so usually you don't get vocals, but when hallucinations happen you'll just get word-like noises that don't actually sing anything.

Not sure what to recommend with this. Try reinforcing it with "instrumental" in the prompt, or turn off instrumental mode and put "[instrumental]" in the lyrics as well as "instrumental" in the style prompt.

Ah. Yeah hallucinations can also have that happen. In the worst cases, some genres can kick out swears and worse.

Pretty sure the instrumental switch adds something into the prompt and there have been some issues before with it singing what's in the style prompt etc. so maybe something is changing with how it applies that... try the suggestion I made above (so then you at least have full control over the prompt)

Not too sure about that one - when I want to avoid beats I try to do "violin solo" in style prompt and/or turn off instrumental mode and put [violin solo] in the lyrics box. Not sure how well this actually works... Might be worth asking this in #📚┃suno-school in case someone else has a better idea 🙂

Oh, I would suggest that you definitely should. I just wondered because without lyrics it will hallucinate and sometimes it will just repeat the input, sometimes garbling it up. Sounds like it might be doing that anyway though - maybe try putting [verse] or [chorus] in front of the lyrics, or adjusting the extend time slightly (to cut off a little of the input audio) as Suno might be having trouble figuring out which part of the song it should be generating.

Just doublechecked. I had the usual structure points written in the lyrics combined with my own tune. (I was trying to see if it could embellish a song i wrote) but it moved in and out of coherency. I could dm you the link if you want to see the song, but i warn you, its a fever dream lol

The first song i just recited a poem i wrote (no tune). That one worked perfectly. The 2nd & 3rd attempts were done by uploading a clip of me singing, then extend with lyrics. I wasnt sure where to set the pickup/crop timestamp so i just left it

Only other thing I can think to try is to put an [instant switch] or [bridge] or something else before any other song structure, something to just allow the AI to "wake up" a bit and take a little diversion before attempting the lyrics. Otherwise maybe someone else will have some suggestions to try (could try asking in #📚┃suno-school since it's not so much a bug as in "something is totally broken" but the AI seemingly being weird.)

Also extending songs with lyrics that should only include 50-60 seconds will skip over those new lyrics and use ones from the original song

The day-to-day (free plan) or month-to-month (subscription) credits refreshes rather than accumulate because of resources allocation restraints (and is mentioned at the bottom of the subscription plan page). The plans all says renews credit as well

So what likely happened is that your month was up and refreshed into the Daily Plan credit

Extra top up credits and special credit gifts are, well, special and are carried over unlike the former two

Even if I enter "2-step" in the Style field, SUNO cannot create 2-step songs. There are some 2-step-like styles on https://suno.com/explore, but none of them are 2-steps, and the same goes for https://suno.com/style/2-step.

Is 2-step referring to the actual genre or are you trying to refer to Ed Sheeren's song 2step?

If it is the former, try seeing if 3.0 (or even 2.0) understands that style better. When you get a good intro, extend it into 3.5 🙂 You may want to try "2-step garage", or "2-step uk-garage" to help the AI specify the style

If it is the latter, it will not work as using existing artists or song titles will likely be ignored, if not censored.

Very likely such information was stripped out from the training to avoid lawsuits (assuming if they were included in the first place).

You will need to use style keywords in custom mode to get as close to the genres you want.

I recommend using music genre identification sites for the styles used in the song(s) of interest. These include:

Since I canceled/suspended my Suno subscription, the same error occurs again and again when creating, with a quota around 25%: my credits are deducted, but a (two) foreign song appears in my Libery, which has nothing to do with mine in terms of text/title/tag. This might be one Suno is aware of or even intended functionality, but using the site on mobile I found that skipping a track behaves differently if you're on "create" versus "library" (one of them will skip up to a newer track, the other will skip down to an older track)

Usually you know when creating music in a DAW a equalizer is used to avoid the frequencies to clash and then plug ins to do a Master. If you have a Daw you can use an equalizer to fix the muddy sound.
Or you can let the AI bot create different version but then it is difficult to get the same result as the "great song" that you and the AI bot created together and you uploaded for listening.
One important question is that is the full song already done as a Master or need a song to be Master after exporting. This is a question for the developers of SUNO to answer.

Hi Suno team! I have a bug that I've found to be somewhat frustrating.
When I log in through my Google account, Suno automatically assumes that I want to log in using the second account I created (which I clicked accidentally).
Deleting cache and cookies doesn't seem to clear this and so, unless I'm logging in through incognito or another browser, Suno will always log me into my second account.
Please change it so that you can log into any Google account instead of the last one accessed :))

Yes, the upload audio is old TTS with reversed audio, a layer of brown noise, and my own playing of a keyboard.

Not directly related to the problem but just wanted to point out that anything in the uploaded audio after the time you put in the box will be ignored by Suno. There is unfortunately no way to not have the audio at the start of the song, but cutting it off in this way will mean that Suno won't "see" all of the uploaded audio.

Ah, I see. Did you try using an instrumental tag for the beginning transition?

Typically that helps avoids hallucinations though this very much depends on the genre and what it analyzed as part of the extension. If Suno does not ignore it.

I suppose if you still get hallucination when trying that, you can try to adjust the style prompt so that extension is only instrumental (e.g. use instrumental in the prompts, remove verbose genres like pop, etc.), then use your original style prompt in the followup extension but that sounds like a waste of credits (unless that music was very nice and you wouldn't mind having an instrumental portion of it)

If you copy the lyrics text from a finished song of the right side column into the text field at the creation page to make a new song it copies also some stupid unvisible text lines from the right column like "Clip cover image song name etc 0:29 Loading..." so you have to delete that manually every time you do this. Often if you ask ChatGPT to guess what words might be triggering a filter, it is pretty good guesser. You may want to explain to ChatGPT you are prompting in one language, but the filter may incorrectly be interpreting as English.

For example, one time I saw changing the word "sover" (in english meaning so far) fixed it and I could continue the generation. I in no way understand why "sover" would be considered inappropriate. I have a chronic situation where almost always when i generate with 3.5 it gets to the end of my lyrics, goes into a quiet period and then adds about 90 more seconds again -- often slamming into the 4:00 minute mark and cutting off. It happens if I put [end] or [outro] or [fade out] or [fade to end]. It basically just messes the song up since I can't trim it in any way. If you have any suggestions, I'm open to them but it seems like a bug to me. [End] should mean End. 100% of the time.

not just you, 3.5 has a real problem with actually ending songs, no matter what's in the tags. i've had it spend whole minutes stacking distinct 'endings' on top of each other and each time managing to meander its way into the next ending (and then reaching the 4 minute mark and getting cut off haha)

yeah that's right. if it does 2 verses right but then starts improvising or pronounces something badly, or refuses to end and keeps drawing it out, you can selected extend, then extend from a specific timestamp to cut off the part you don't want

Looks like Suno is trying to finish the song, no matter what. I can get 20-30 second extensions, but most of them are generated at most 9 seconds.
Have you tried dropping to 3.0 for the next entention?

3.0 is your friend when something gets locked in 3.5...
It can generate 1 minute extensions. Use 3.0 once, then move to 3.5 again.

BUG: Suno remembers last used model and for new creations it proposes the same model, but, if you last used V3 and try to extend an own audio it forces 3.5 obviously, but still keep v3 limits so you can't use more than 1250 characters. Since you can't switch models, it'slocked at 3.5, you have to create from scratch, it will re-propose v3 and then change to v3.5, now you can extend from audio and get the 3000 characters limit.

We're basically helping to "bootstrap" the new forum channels by putting things that come up often in them. Eventually I think the intention is for those to replace the existing channels. I try to summarise and group related suggestions where they are for the same thing (e.g. multiple different ways to ask for stems) rather than just copy/paste. It's all seen by the developers even if they don't reply.

I may be stating the obvious here but:

A bug is something that does not work as intended. For example being able to navigate beyond the last page of your library would be a bug, but a very minor cosmetic one.

If something is just not implemented or not implemented in the way you'd like, that's not a bug.

So the measure is just what UDIO has, instead of "what can we do to make users happy, to save their time, to make them produce music and not adding tags manually. To name a bug an elphant as I did is a smart and witty way to tell a programmer that he FORGOT to implement something very elementary. Something so obvious that is striking in your head. Which was the case with that missing feature. Any programmer knows what a bug really is.

The problem is only that nothing has been done yet regarding this and it is about elementary basic things and bugs, not about kinky features or new features

Nobody is "applauding" the way things are, and things could certainly be improved. Lengthy, aggressive criticism and encouraging users to complain by e-mail is less constructive though.

One reason there are alpha testers is because there are UI developments that need testing and refining before they are released. Even the audio upload feature that was recently released needed UI development, as I have pointed out before.

Tried v3.5 for 20 credits, then v3 for 20. I'm trying to land a certain style within the prompt as well, but even that's not following today. Style prompt is "country lullaby, sad female vocals" and it keeps spitting out something that reminds me of a slow female led R&B song, like old school TLC or Alicia Keys. I'm not gonna bother with extensions if the style is being ignorant as well. It's just a wash for today.

As for the bullshit that is going on at the moment... There are a lot of them to list all the possible “jambs”. When specifying the “style” (for example) Middle Ages, native instruments, Bard, Opera - I get the “intro as intended” and then “enjoy” metal, house or hard techno... What happens is that the verses and choruses regularly “jump” together with words - this is also already “boring”. SUNO constant attempts to finish my song, interpreting my lyrics as she pleases, not caring about all the tags, are now "in the order of things." That is, the generation of songs now resembles some kind of clown lottery, and not a meditative process. I I guess that the developers are aware of this total degradation, but they should say something... will there be a rollback, or reluctantly wait and hope for 4.0 (or some 3.6)? We are trying to offend someone, but apparently no one wants to answer us.

I thing is been talked about before but Suno absolutely refuses to follow song structure for me today. I've burned a couple hundred credits trying to figure it out but it consistently repeats the first verse or the first chorus sometimes both in the same generation. It could be word in the style prompt (try hip hop instead of rap, maybe?) but it could also be from your lyrics. You can try adding "American-isms" to clue in the AI model. If it is the lyrics, the one workaround to get the right accent without actually chaning your lyrics is use the first prompt with 'throwaway' lyrics. Ask ChatGPT to write some over the top East coast style rap. Make only the first line the same as your real lyrics. Then generate, get the right accent, then Extend From that clip at the time right after the first line. You could also do this in V3 (just for the first lie) which may use different accents.

I like to use the trick where I generate an instrumental first do use for the intro, and then drop the vocals in with the first extension. With trap, however (and with other low-end heavy styles, like techno or dub) the problem is that the AI is maxing out the volume level so that it’s bumping up against the limiter in the instrumental, so when it tries to drop the vocals in, they are distorted af. I’m pretty sure this is a clipping problem, because if the bass drops out for a few bars, the vocal suddenly become very clean, and as soon as the bass comes back in again, it gets all raggedy.
