One of my songs was replaced?
I had a good result for a jazz song. Both results had a female singer, one smooth and the other grandiose. Let's call them Song 1 and Song 2.
But now when I check my Suno Account, one of the two songs has been replaced with a male singer, and the whole song is different. Same text and prompt, and even says I made the song few days ago.
The other song with the same prompt is still exactly the same as before.

It has completely replaced the good song, as if it was rerendered from scratch.

Hi everyone please have in mind currently using the word “Reggaeton” on your description for a song will not give you in any way instrumental only intro, I believe the same with hip hop and rap. Great majority of traditional songs like these do not have solo intro and so the generations are going to be closes to its training input. So if you want to get a result utilizing these words on your first generations you won’t get it in a high percentage rate. So I suggest two options not use these keywords on your first generation, and instruct in between [brackets on your second gen continuation to change the beat to the desired on on the body along with the description] although it will cause a lot of bad gens. Or the second option gen it anyways and once the 1st generation stops it’s instrumental note the seconds and then continue your second gen from that time frame. But will still give you most likely anywhere between 1-4 seconds of instrumental.

Hopefully in the future versions Suno can actually overwrite any and all genres and actually create instrumentals when the toggle is placed or when in the body you put [instrumental intro] but for now not all genres are compatible with these options.

I’m finding this too. If I want it not to change the chorus, I just go back to the earlier clip that has it that I like, and I do a continue from there changing the words or repeating the chorus as I want and then I have to manually stitch them together in an audio editor myself.

I like to create weird genre combinations with this AI and it used to work great, but lately (I say this but it started happening a couple days before the full v3 release) it completely refuses to use more than 1 maybe 2 genres. This happens even when i try to combine more "fitting" genres. I think this is likely the AI giving a lot more weight to certain keywords in the style prompt, for example, using "metal" will 95% of the time produce a pure metal song even if several other genres are used

Careful mentioning v3 alpha or @wary flare will say we’re asking too much by asking the devs to give us option to use it (along with v2 and v3). lol. But yes, the genre changes and keeps the rhythm but doesn’t blend it. I also found that it will change genres better when you “continue from” a second that has a beat or something like a drum cymbal. Not letting it run to the end of the generation.

i dont know if you tried this already but ive found that including words like "fade out" "end" etc tend to overwhelm other keywords and affect the entire generation, if you havent tried yet generate your final segment without [Fade out] and then continue the song again this time only with [Fade out] and it should work better (at least it worked for me)

Also, it tends to skip parts of your lyrics if it doesnt understand what to do and sometimes repeating words a lot does that for me, you could try changing the lyrics if it still does not work

V3 mp3 generated are low bias V2 is better better clarity, music fidelity is gold and you need to improve quality of generated songs to do that you must separate the voice from the melody since the song generated add artifacts to the voice generated lowering the quality.

i think this occurs because the song suno is getting inspiration from is up to that amount of minutes, 4 in your case, try to add a [BREAK] tag before the lyrics of the new continue to check if we can break the pattern and start over... sometimes it works for me

Remember, every aspect matters for the generation:

Tags you are using, in the lyrics,
Lyrics
Vocabulary
Language style
Tone
Formality
Song structure
Word count, letter count, spacing, etc.
Even the song name matters.

Everything is taken into consideration in each generation.

This means that if you aim to create a fusion between Rock and Reggae, but only utilize vocabulary, structure, and tone typical of Reggae music, you'll likely end up with a predominantly Reggae song, perhaps with some electric guitars added in.

Conversely, if you incorporate lyrics commonly found in ROCK metal songs, along with the structure and other elements associated with Rock, you may end up with a Rock song, possibly with a hint of Reggae influence in the background.

The key is to strike a balance across all elements. Simply mentioning two different genres won't guarantee an equal mix; it's about ensuring each aspect contributes harmoniously to the final output.

kind of sad really. My advice, if you want to generate new stuff, is to stick to genres where overdramatic reverb and chorus fits, like bubblegum pop or hiphop, orchestral symphonic hair metal, psychedelic dub Reggae ... that kind of stuff.

When I continued from there, the results were great, but when I tried to make a full song from that, it ditched the first verse entirely and has a really long instrumental intro all of a sudden. What's really weird is that I tried to "get whole song" three separate times, and they were identical.

The key is to continue from before the audio goes bad, or make it change instruments when hitting “continue from song” right when there is a beat (like a drum or change of rhythm). It takes longer, waste more credits, and can’t get rid of ALL noise (reverb or muffled sound), but it works better than doing the entire generation.

The real temporary solution is to let us use v3a alongside v3 and v2, but they refuse to give us that option 😦

When I use continue from song, but I have an earlier "Continue From" time, most of the time, it thinks it should use the lyrics from the full song I continued from, but the time I entered did not get to that point in the song. It makes it really tough to continue from an earlier spot in the song. This is true also when continuing from a "Full Song" that I joined together (just to make sure the stitched parts/transitions sound right). Most of the time I only want like half of the full song. But when it continues, it thinks I used all the lyrics and the next generated clips start in a completely unexpected spot from the lyrics I gave it.

1. Is this a known issue?
2. Is this fixable by your team?
3. Any known workarounds I can use to get around this?

My workaround has been to Continue from whatever second before the song goes bad, usually in the first 30 seconds.

I just checked it in the editor. The chorus that is sung at the beginning is cleaner and has less reverberation from the chorus of the second generation. That is, the Suno model itself adds reverberation and amplifies it with a large number of generations. The voice becomes indistinct, everything blurs. This is especially noticeable on consonant letters, which turn into porridge.

The noise that comes first in terms of votes is incorrect. Because the noise arises from the large amount of reverberation on instruments, vocals and drums. Suno amplifies them with each generation and the noise gets bigger. Noise = Reverberation.

This is noticeable when 4-5 generation is already underway. When you start to notice reverberation on guitars, drums, bass and vocals. And it all turns into noise. Additionally, the sound is amplified and hits the tops of the amplitude.

I'd suggest posting a full screenshot of your browser window showing the problem, and then someone might be able to give some advice here. (I'm also going to sleep now but just suggesting this as others might be able to help.)

I think it has to do with the context window. The new model is generating larger windows, and it's holding certain types of compositional integrity together better. But it's not holding voices together as cleanly as v2 o v3a. The solution I came up with is complicated, but follow me here.

1. Shorter lines, uniformly, which forces the verse calculator into quirks mode.
   For example, if you've written a two part line with 14 syllables, break it into two seven part syllable lines, or as you prefer it to read. Be concise.
2. Thumbs, this guides your generation, use them for takes and fulls. Every time, without exception.
3. Generate the song 15 seconds at a time, or 22 seconds, or whenever the compositional integrity starts to fade. Continue from is your friend.
   3a, when doing this, switch back to the 2.0 model. It's going to hold the integrity better, but since you started in 3, it'll maintain, mostly, the voice and instrumentation.
4. If you've done the above threeish steps, generate the song, and get a good reading of the whole thing. Ideally, do this a few times. The fourth reading is always the best.

the lyrics part of the app likes to take the prompt and put it literally into the lyrics. So when I specify genre of music in the prompt, the singer will singer about the name of the genre, and any other instructions it has, in an awkward and cringeworthy way. Since there's no post-lyric gen edit function, it makes simple mode fairly useless. Since there's also no gen lyrics on a prompt mode in custom, the only thing I can use the lyrics bot for is generating lyrics about coffee, so the whole lyrics portion is currently fairly useless.

IOW, if I put in a prompt like "slow country rock about a man who is jealous of his best friend's dog" then i'll get him singing about how country music can combine with rock and still go slowly, rather than him singing about the dog. like everything before "about" there probably shouldn't be in the lyrics even if it needs the info to know that it's writing country style lyrics, it should refrain from singing about the genre and other style prompt words, and stick to singing about the dog.

I've been using a site (https://www.lalal.ai/) that splits the song into stems. I load up the stems in my DAW (Reaper) and have at it. This lets me eliminate overwhelming guitars if needed. Also lets me spruce up the vocals or whatever need be. If I like the arrangement, generally but I need to change it here or there make a Bridge longer or replace the Bass with my own, or add a lead guitar, whatever. I got it.

When the song is buggy they should give you credit back.

On the secure site errors, didn't find a workaround or obvious thing they have in common. Only current workaround is using a different internet connnection. For example using cellular internet instead of your home connection. Using a VPN reportedly can also work. Is this continuing the same clip or across different clips (and prompts in the clips?). Sometimes a particular clip will almost always have this problem. A possible solution is to try different "continue from" times. Basically back up from the end of the clip by 3 or 5 seconds each time, further and further, and try find a spot an earlier section of audio that works fine.

If it's the same email I got, that was about users being affected by increased usage of the service (which led to free accounts being blocked from generating for a while) - nothing to do with audio quality.

I could be wrong but I am pretty sure the audio quality is part of the model (e.g. v2, v3) and I don't think the individual model versions get updated after release so nothing should change on a daily basis. They'll be working on the next model (v4) instead. I expect any observation of better/worse quality between different days are pretty much down to chance.

Happy to be corrected by a developer if I am wrong however.

FWIW, folks reporting missing songs doesn't mean they're all gone. It's likely that the servers are timing out giving you your list of songs.

I notice some people say that generations are better or worse from day to day but I wonder if that is actually the case. Since it's just running an algorithm, unless they make changes to the actual model, it should work basically the same. I wonder if what we are seeing with things seeming different from day to day might just be our simple human desire to look for patterns even when none exist.
Are the Devs able to say if there is anything in the model that could change from day to day or to change with server load? It might help clear up some misconceptions about how things work.

You are correct. The model is the same and didn't change. It's often a case of luck. But if you get a few good results it can impact your expectation, and that is really hard to wrap your mind around. I have to admit, I had the same in the beginning. Now that I already burned thousands of credits, I know you will have good and bad days. And it's not related to changing the model or previous outages or other problems. Each job has his own slot (aka computing power).

It'd be good to get some official confirmation of this from one of the devs that the model doesn't change from day-to-day and whether server load affects its output quality. I expect each version of the model stays unchanged (as I said earlier) and don't think server load has any impact on sound quality, but it's often suggested by users that the model is different each day, and/or that server load causes bad output.

At least then we can repeat the official information given when the subject comes up.

This is exactly why I'd like to see some official information on this, because as far as I'm aware, quality improvements would require changes to the model, and I don't think they are changing the existing models.

They will officially let us know if it has changed (the model). They will never change it without telling.

They could be. But we don't know. We're all just guessing. Which is why I think it should be stated officially. Otherwise everyone will just blame the server load when they get a poor generation.
