This is about work product ownership. if you use Suno for instruments, you're in the land of hybrid music and not AI music. That changes the rules a bit. If you write your own lyrics, sing your own voice over the suno "demo", and maybe add an instrument track or record over an existing, you have ownership of a significant enough portion of the work product that you legally qualify as the rights holder and owner of work product. That means that you can. Of course, I'd recommend doing a decent amount of work in the mixing and postproduction so that you also have the mix/postproduction/mastering as your work product significance.

that's a bit of a tough question to answer. Depending on where you live, the ability to "copyright" ai generated stuff is hit and miss. The US copyright office says that ai generation is not at all copyrightable unless it contains human written work, and even then, only the human written sections are protected, and not the AI gen. The only person who could answer those questions are people who work at the distro and on the streaming services, and it is unlikely that either of their legal departments would allow them to answer

I unsuscribed for a bit, and just resubscribed. They changed some things - I can't seem to figure out how many credits I have.

Used to be, it'd say "10 credits to create" or whatever it was, for the create button. Now it just says Create. And I've poked around, I can't figure out where the amount of credits are. I'm on Pro.

The way I see it, using the free version is like using training wheels. It'll get you used to how the basics work and let you put your toes in the water. Pro would be your next step up, and gives you much more control over your songs. I would absolutely sleep on that though and just see how you like things. Feel it out, if you will.
