Yeah though really has its difficulties, i feel like i lost a ton of control over voices with this one compared to many, only reason i even published it is cause ive been working on it several hours due to original issues with the faroese accent overwriting the icelandic one, and even here the icelandic accent is broken at times but it was good enough and at least sounds alright

Model 5.5 is moving toward “averaging” in a completely uncontrolled way, whereas model 4.5+ still roughly follows prompts and other settings.

I tried to create a glam metal track in model 5.5, but without an intrusive drum part. Each time I ended up with a dull, monotonous beat, usually in 4/4 time, almost disco-like in style and completely non-rock in feel. On top of that, this blunt beat was unnaturally loud and dominant, while the other instruments were muted and seemed pushed into the background. It was mostly just a steady thump-thump-thump-thump, with some acceleration later on. And then the same thing over and over again. Even in the classical music genre, the model tries to rigidify the piece with a uniform beat, which is grotesque.

5.5 can do some nice stuff with a reference track. Metal in particular is always a little challenging because of the guitar which degrades surrounding audio, and has other issues. Typically you need to hand pick instruments specifically based on frequency ranges, to prevent muddy audio and such. Often finding ways to get what you want without mentioning metal at all.

One thing that I find interesting about Suno is that it is almost impossible to add certain sound effects for example, my track puppy love I sampled a free sound file of puppies, barking and mixed it into my song, uploaded it. I tried recreating the same process through a prompt. I spent so much time on it. It doesn’t work.

Writing is pretty good but could benefit from a more evolved rhyme structure, there's a lot of back-to-back couplets. And certain lines could benefit from small rewrites to make it less redundant, like:

Depressed about everything - Change to "Depressed about anything"
Grew up with barely anything - Change to "Grew up with pretty much nothing"
This way you're not rhyming "everything" with itself

It can work better if you are getting stuck on how large your worldbuilding has gotten, to write short stories/novellas to build your world into your intuition a bit. You cant avoid every hole. I'm writing a short 10-12 chapter novella just to figure out what all I'm missing, and marking it down. Have come up with a couple of different transit systems, had to solve traffic, and languages this way to solve for naming.
