If Cut and Covers dont work, Select and Replace is a further option. Its a way to select the intro and try to prompt it to replace with somthingg shorter. At least them you have more prompt control.

Not sure if we cut away , literally the initial half of the intro, but attempting to leave a half second of the first half is good the not abruptly start the intro....., then cut/splice away all you want, up to the last 3 seconds of the ending of the intro where it blends into the verse, so we can only hope we found a good splice point to literally not have to do anything -- but to be certain, running it through Remaster to blend it only better.

All good, Just to avoid weird problems I've run into, if you remix a selection and it comes out wrong (not matching your original beat/audio/voice), put it in place anyway, highlight it, along with the beginning parts of the next section, and use replace to correct the mismatch between your original and the remixed part, might take a couple tries. then once you have what you want, right click, heal edits, before applying eq/loudness settings
