clarity, this was originally a 4.0 Shimmer issue. it's not terrible but still noticed. so far having some decent results with 0/100/100 and no persona, or style given. so i appreciate it. like this is the closest it's been so ideally i fnothing else a few gens can be spliced best of the lot

that was the other issue, the shimmer was in multiple stems. 4.0 was a lawless wasteland. lol i've considered abandoning it entirely but my wife helped me make this one and anything deviating from it i am trying to avoid as no new gen is remotely close. greatly appreciate the help though. i did not realize style maxed attempts to adhere to the one you re covering i figured blank maxed style would be same as weird 100 and getting a bunch of weird stuff

Making a song isn’t just typing words into a prompt and hitting generate. There’s a process: writing, arranging, editing, adding/removing instruments and refining… over and over again. That’s where the artistry actually lives.
what we seeing instead is people prompting hundreeds of songs a month. No direction, no identity, just mass-generating tracks and uploading them.
Of course it all starts sounding generic.
Of course people don’t take AI music seriously.

There's a big middle ground, you can go from using a fraction of a second of AI generated shouts and hits in your music, all the way to one-click generation to entirely replace the human, and everything in between. My music is like 20-40% AI most of the time, and it also makes a difference if you create an original melody versus letting the AI make one..

who's lying? When you use AI as a tool, it's just another of many tools. You might sequence a melody in your DAW, upload it to Suno for enhancement, then combine some Suno stems with some Omnisphere, ReFX Nexus, a few samples, maybe Ozone 11 and RX 11 and some soothe2, plus your own real vocal recordings, etc. Then you can claim majority authorship and you're not lying.

the issue stems back to a classic copyright problem (by US) copyright law - Suno currently is not a mechanical system - you put the same 'inputs' in twice -> you get 2 distinct outputs.

What network? Why is it wrong? AI can be used in a way that isn't wrong. It can also be used in a way that is very wrong to take ownership of, if you click "create" and do nothing else, the AI made it, not you. But if you upload a melody, take the output, strip it apart and use pieces of it in another production, that's literally what we've been doing with TV show and movie audio to get samples for decades.

I would agree with you before Warner Brothers/WMG bought suno and rightfully so sold out to them back in December. It's impossible that Universal/NBC (they partnered with Udio, which maybe a Universal merger could happen) would partner with Suno now after that. don't see Columbia/CBS/Sony partnerning with AI but idk.

Question: So when making a song, or more to the point a homage to a song that is already a known artiest and song, if you make your lyrics as close as you can to the actual lyrics even using alot of what the actual lyrics are, if they pass through Suno its ok to use said lyrics? I have had some blocked by Suno siting copyrights and will not make the song, tweek some words and get it through, so its not copyright breech then, right???

I've been using TuneCore for years, and this is just the latest in their heavy-handedness.

When SOCAN released their guidelines as to what constitutes "permitted" use of AI in music generation, I went to my library of music and took down every song I'd ever published where I'd used "too much" of the Suno output that would have violated the guidelines on what constituted allowed AI assistance.

Now, when I make stuff using Suno, the way I make it and the way I use the output is 100% in compliance with the industry guidelines for permitted "assisted AI" but TuneCore still has decided, with no input from me, that my content trips their GenAI detection.. and it was instant, definitely no human review going on....

I've given up on TuneCore and I'm switching to Distrokid. If it wasn't such a PITA to move my entire library off TuneCore I would take down everything I've published through them and move it.

There’s nowhere you can put your AI music videos or AI music anymore as your whole channel can be deleted even if you label AI and even if Suno has your back as far as copyright. It means nothing my 14 year old YouTube channel that I’ve created content for and only used AI for two years, just deleted my entire account and terminated it when everything was marked as AI.

Yes, I agree however, I don’t know why my legally following every guideline that they asked, and I’ve always been compliant and if there was a strike because there were some sample that I didn’t know about I took down the video where I at least put it in private instantly. without my YouTube channel, we would not have Eminem early day recordings as it cost me almost $5000 to obtain them and then share them with the world to not even get a dime in compensation. I’ve have not earned a single dollar from YouTube or any of the things I created on it . I’m just a creative person who likes to share experiences and those experiences after 14 years are worth as much as the time it takes to press delete. But I do understand what you’re saying cause also the other day when my account got deleted, I ranted about music before AI will be considered the oldies station that’s the clear lane that they are going to everything else and every other channel and the mass listeners will continue on those other platforms that are in existence right now that embrace AI the ones that don’t get to go on the oldies channel and the classic channel for nostalgic reasons. Because somebody born today, listening to music 20 years from now will not be listening to the oldies station.

That’s what I’ve been doing for 14 years I go to even live events and film the entire thing with my Zoom, high-quality camera microphone, right and fight my way to the front of the stage from the audience members perspective film entire shows and then re-edited them with any other extra footage of anybody had it at the show to master edit it and somehow that’s not original and my channel got terminated for using AI to make a sublime song the band who catalogue is based of taking parts of multiple people’s material that already existed on record melodies as well, and then mixing it together and calling it original has now put strikes against me for paying tribute to their band by not even making money from it making everything else I’ve done on existence and not historical whatsoever
