Crystal's interesting. It tried to be more faithful to the manga while also addressing criticisms of how stiff the original's animation is. the problem was also that smoon didn't get an appropriate budget or enough time between episodes resulting in the first season requiring heavy redraws when it was later adopted for blueray release.

subsequent seasons were handled much more eloquently but it was still painful how much slop made it to tv. It was like early dragon ball super with how bad it was at times lol.
