depends on my mood and laziness level. Anywhere between "Make something in FL -> import to suno -> cover -> add lyrics + voice -> cover more -> remaster" to "Generate -> cover -> Remaster"

So for myself it can go a few ways. I usually start on the writing side, and that involves a few processes in itself but most of the time I just write by the seat of my pants. Then I ask chatgpt to help me come up with style prompt ideas. When it's the other way around and I'm dry on lyrics I record myself beatboxing different melodies until I get something I like. Then, I cover, mash up, edit, and cover more until I get something fun and use that as my song foundation.

I guess I will share mine too since I asked. I usually sketch a rough draft in Logic, then upload to Suno. Sometimes it may even just be a sample I like...then I either put in lyrics I wrote myself in full or co-write them with Suno (tho ive been using Claude a bit more for this because ReMi is wild lolol) then i take the parts I like, extend from the last "take" I liked and kinda take it section by section that way. I'll get the verse, then the chorus, so on. By the time i am done i have like 6-7 extensions. Then when thats finished I export the stems, drop them into Studio for better quality stems (more tracked out variants too) and to edit whatever i dont like, has artifacts, etc. then I export the multi-tracks drop them back into Logic, add my own instrumentations to it...mix it, master it...then i pitch the song to a human artist who usually edits the lyrics and re-records their own vocals over the top. A really long, drawn out hybrid approach which im sure to many kinda defeats the purpose 😅

From what I can tell with covers, the reason it goes off the rails a lot is because it will take a whole song, and look at it and that much information tends to break the structure.

4 minutes seems like the max still.

But context can take a whole song as well.

Might be clashing, which causes off rails effects.
