I think what could be happening is it recognizes the chord itself as being a part of someone else's song. But it's a standard F# minor add 9. if that is identified as "copyrighted" then no one should be able to make music ever then.

I would say one of the key things is learning how to manipulate the "mashup" option. If you get a sound that you like in a song, but it gens part of it weird, being able to use the mashup with the remix of that song to gen something that has the same vib but more times than not fixes the mistakes.

Kind of. It's weird how it works. I generally don't try and mash up 2 different songs. I like to take the same song, do a remaster of that song, and then mashup the original and the remastered version.

I do that if a song for example has really low or muddy sounding instrumentals, or if they mess up words in teh song.
