something I've found is a good "workaround" is to make your songs using v4.x or v.5.0 (which have better composition), and then apply the "Cover" functionality to those songs using v5.5 (which has better audio quality)

Well these last 4k credits as I said I have a song that's REALLY good in 5.5. but there are a couple really quick flaws in it and just trying to clean that up. But 5.5 is so much worse now and not even getting close

Disagree entirely. You can prompt as perfectly as possible and if the inflection on a single word is off or you don't feel the next few instrumental notes are right, then you keep going until you do. Also that 10k song was 9 minutes long so there were more corrections than a 2-4 minute song

I've posted post after post after post showing generation after generation after generation of songs that objectively have issues with the audio quality. not subjectively. objective. measurable. factual. these issues are genre-agnostic. you can see the problems in a spectrum analyser and in the waveform. look at reddit. look at twitter. look in here. Not at the sycophants who like to say "it's user error" when I've followed their suggestions and still get bad outputs.

v5.5's generations are a problem. Not the composition. It writes good riffs. It writes interesting pieces. The problem is Suno's own fx chain is murdering the outputs. This group of people have been dogpiling on me every time I post even when I continue to provide irrefutable evidence that they are wrong and v5.5 needs more time in the oven.

There's some tricks to decrease the likelyhood of utterly unlistenable tracks but it's a nightmare that a finetune should solve.

what i mean is what i've been tryna do is take my suno songs and cover them/remake them in fl studio using vsynth as the vocal engine. theres the option to input midi so i tried separating stems and then converting them to midi but it always comes out super messy with lots of bogus notes and the cleaning process is....

it's a lot.

so i keep getting fatigued and abandoning it

depends on genre...they don't have the full sound on some genres that v5 had vs. v4.5

5.5 just knows what you listen to more. It's not all that different than 5 under the hood

im really disliking most gen v5.5 outputs I'm getting and people are sending to me. it's genuinely just v5.5's sound quality being grating on my ears. I can't stand the 9khz spike, or the persistent fizz/fuzz fx that pollutes everything above 12khz.

i was a udio user for a long time so it was basically my only option to go part by part and tweak as i went, so it became my preferred way of doing things. felt nothing one-clicking things and i tend to write as i go anyway, letting the sound decide how the next part should go
