To cut a long story short you can break your prompts into selected sections

its really similar to usual prompting. you have the benefit to be abled to work in an existing thing and extend on that. For me its less of a generation thing and more of the pure satisfaction from building tracks in steps that i can control.

Suno always tries to make music that makes "sense". To get specific might require the use of the sliders to push the model to make "freaky" things like adding interesting sounds and melodies at random.

for me it feels like a too precise style somehow forces the model into very specific ways, that can be a bit "noisy". this is why i mostly work with just a hand full of very specific styles, where i roughly know what to expect. difficult do describe as its just a feeling. I also dont use any of the magic wands.

what i tend to do is to not use any kind of filler words, just the raw information to make the music. no "eye candy" around the important musical info.

There's a lot of variables that suno I assume has not told people. In recording techniques and equipment to use for this new feature. Suno has a brightness bias and when it comes to recorded inputs it pushes it hard for clarity. The more things that are added in prompting exacerbates the already glaring issue.

Hi! I have noticed a very welcomed audio quality improvement with v5.5, but I have also noticed that melodies now tend to be "cheap", with old-fashioned harmonies (in the style of 60s, 70s songs). the way the dub influences are way at the back of your style i think is doing a lot for making it a smooth in-theme undercurrent

all of my songs that use guitar, erhu, violin, or supersaws if i split the stems a huge portion of the instrument track ends up in the voice. also a lot of the time the voice will turn into a string instrument or vice versa

my current workflow is:

I have an idea or a story or completed roleplay and I feed the info to whichever LLM I'm going to be using. It spits out lyrics. From there I go over it, change things I can immediately see as needing edited or changed. Then I run a few suno outputs to hear the vocals sung back to me. from there I rewrite it. Through repeated editing and iteration I end up with something that's mine.

Getting the steeldrums for this in the Ableton template, and the percussions, with the synths and some guitars in FL Studios, then re-mixing it and getting voice with Suno on it, and the ProEdito it has worked well to get a consistent soundscape:
