However, Suno has introduced the possibility of recording one’s own voice with the person’s consent. If all the voices used to train the model were recorded with user consent, then nothing would prevent the creation of an official license for these voices.

Yeah the fact that ProducerAI's preview clips are doing the exact same suddenly today, tells me it is a Discord thing, not a SUNO or ProducerAI thing. However, if both are using the same method to post such previews, then it might make sense that its a problem to be corrected by these websites.

Well for myself personally, Ive been a producer for years. So I try to use these AIs not to purely do everything for me and I just put it out there claiming it as my own. I use it for inspiration, and I sometimes sample things from it, but then I proceed to produce my own works. So I'm basically incorporating AI into my workflow.

I like Suno 5.5 better than version 5.0 in terms of control options, as it responds much more strongly to input.

However, in my opinion, version 5.5 is too treble-heavy or has too much top end. In some cases, the vocals become “sibilant” in quieter passages with higher-pitched singing.

When switching from version 5 to 5.5 for the first time, this brightness is immediately noticeable and can significantly affect the listening experience. I’d be interested to know if others are experiencing the same issue.

The problem is that, in this state, the songs are basically unusable!

Yeah the extended one doesn't sing the lyrics I see in the lyrics section, but that can be edited afterwards and I am not sure what your process was, so can't say much to that at all. BUT... I need to point out that SUNO's extend functionality is HORSEDUNGLY HORRENDOUS! I know, because ProducerAI, which I was part of since Riffusion started out, had extension SO down that it would perfectly change, and blend in to the rest of the track, AND EVEN have the volumes matching again. Producer knew EXACTLY how to get extensions or even changing a section of a song entirely, perfect. It would always blend perfectly. SUNO, I've never had extend or alter luck with.

V5 was already quite good, but once you professionally mastered the tracks, you could often notice small flaws, which wasn’t ideal.

Also, in V5, personas sometimes didn’t respond to certain commands at all. That has definitely improved in V5.5, but unfortunately the excessively boosted treble ruins everything.

I have no idea who is responsible for this at Suno, but all our sound designers and mastering engineers are pulling their hair out and constantly complaining!

What I've been doing is if I have a theme or idea I describe that to gpt and tell it to spam a ton of words that resonate with that. It really helps in the writing process imo. It's not AI cliche cuz you still write yourself but there's this list of words that could work in your lyric and act as reference points u can jump off from

I've been playing around on the spectrum from no AI at all to most of it AI. I found that there's this balance in it. Like nowdays I usually do my songs like I use studio and ableton record stuff than upload it get some gens see where it could be heading than chop it up and do another loop of record upload edit and so on. I find it makes it feel less "perfect" and I also can steer the idea more where I want it to be rather than just generating and choosing.

It hurts me kinda when ppl talk about how AI is killing art when it just opens up other roads to travel through. Different perspectives different practices. Some just need a backing track for their track some like to sample and chop it up some have the lyrics only and want to explore different sounds. It's so versatile imo. I've been making music for the last 15 years going through all kinds of technology from analog stuff to DAWs and so on but imo if a track hits it hits. There are millions of ways and decisions you can get there but only through you and your actions it exists 🙏

Absolutely feel you. I personally don't like to over rely in it myself, but at the end of the day it's a tool that can, if used right, enhance your craft. I'd be a hypocrit to say otherwise. Like I've demonstrated, I like to use it to help me with translations. Sometimes, I'll use it to trim my writing down to fit certain bpms and run times.

Yea I can agree with that. I too feel like it's our job to not rely on it 100% and I found that usually the best things born from as if you use AI as an assistant to your skills.
