There are different ways of using generative AI as tools. Many of us use it in a hybrid way... I write all of my own lyrics, I use Suno to produce a track for me, I then pull it all out and add my own guitar work. So as a tool, this allows me to produce a commercially viable track in a fraction of teh time and cost that it did just 4 years ago.

Hello. I have a belief that you get the best version of a song on the first few tries when using Cover feature.. the more you generate, the more likely will the AI generate the same style, even if you change genre/persona later on.. Like, i've been working on 3 songs for months - spending loads of credits.. And now if I of sudden wanna try go melodic death metal on the song i've been generating loads of synthwave version of.. I still get synthwave on it, even with a new Persona and death metal prompt. Growling is ignored and I get the same previous persona voice..

Tips? Is there a way to "reset" a song project and start over - and be able to generate potential "masterpieces" like one has a chance to do when starting a fresh project through cover feature ? 😜

Were your personas generated off of the synthwave? After you load a persona you should see a little gear icon next to it, and you can click the gear, and select to just use the voice. Also, for something like this, #📚┃suno-school Is probably the best place.

My method around genres varies from song or primary genre. Sometimes I'll be heavy exclusions light on style guide; Sometimes I'll use joiner tags like Russian groove-forward pop-reggae|urban Slavic midtempo sway;[tight off-beat balalaika texture] bass-led rhythmic core|steady 100 BPM island pulse...; Sometimes I'll use all 1000 chars and break out mix, style, instruments, etc into their own [mix | blocks]; Sometimes I'll give a story, feeling, intention. And sometimes I'll just give a simple comma list of front-weighted keywords. Suno is flexible.
