my solution is 5 to 20 seconds of extend

When you extend you need to select the time you wish to extend from. The thing that makes this feature so powerful is being able to extend from before things become a problem, so you can fix them. So once you extend, input the time you want to continue from. Suno will put in a time for you but it's best to select the time you want yourself.

Then in your lyrics, remove everything that has already been sung in the segment you are keeping. Otherwise Suno will try to sing everything all over again. You may find some luck with keeping the last line sung and letting Suno pick up from after that but it can be tricky and cause it to repeat the line. You will need to experiment for the best results for you.

It's more that it replaces from a specific start that makes it so useful. You can try extending in the way you described to keep the song alive but it can run into issues after a while as the context window passes in such a way it no longer remembers earlier sections. Also stitching the parts together can cause issues as it takes longer to do and sometimes just will not complete.

That explains it! Those are both eating away at your context. There's only so much available and every feature used like that eats away at it until the song has to end early because it's full and doesn't have any space to work within.

Your choices are to Extend or to reduce your lyrics. You're not using a massive amount of metatags so there's not much to reduce there. (In a cover the sound is already established so you can remove a lot of the stuff you start with such as [guitar solo played backwards] or whatever then, because as a cover that sound is loaded in memory and it knows already what you're doing there.)

I find Gemini to be the better image creator for realism and digital art. Gpt has been giving this weird filter recently.
