Man I'm loving everything you've shared of yours so far. I may do a Cover of one of your tracks with my own spin on it with the prompts I have saved. I like to do the occasional cover of songs I like, I just don't publish them and I don't mess with lyrics out of respect.

Your max context space generating a single song is 8 minutes. If you cover a song that's about 4 minutes, usually you get 4 and a half minutes or so worth of runtime for said cover, til the song runs past the limit.

At that point, you might consider using an extend if the pace of the song, and the lyrics and everything you were trying to fit in the song won't fit comfortably inside that four minutes without removing stuff. Like, it would sound rushed or suno in trying to make your song shorter omits stuff on its own.

If you gen a song, then cover it, maybe even a few times, you get a higher quality output. Which if you needed more runtime, you could extend the result of cover(s) and such, tinker with the settings/drop the start of the extension somewhere suno latches on to continue the song effectively. But that's the thing, extend can be a little tricky because if you don't get things just so, start your extension in just the right place, it won't do what you expect probs.

So its nice its there as a feature, but if you don't need it, then you might consider not using it unless you're trying to make a 20 minute power ballad or something
