Yes, Suno can do harmonies but not the way you’re imagining.
It doesn’t let you stack multiple AI voices like a DAW.
You can’t load “Voice A” and “Voice B” and make them sing different parts.
BUT you can trick it into doing layered harmonies if you write and tag things right.

If you want to pull the sound effect in, the best way to pull in is a cover with a v5 isolated vocal persona, some bug makes it match melody, which ends up pulling in the original track a lot harder than anything else, which even pulls in sound effects

From the duet lens, if you cover a song, and add your own lyrics between lines, and your lyrics are longer than theirs, it triggers a vocal switch.

So Say Verse 1 is 1234, and Verse 2 is vocalist 2, and its 123456, 56 will be read by vocalist one, its almost impossible with cover to avoid this

I added, as “based on,” a song that was created with a Free account, in order to get the same tone and sound.
Then I reused the lyrics that I wrote myself for the Free-plan song and generated a new track.

In this case, is the new song fully mine, or could there still be issues?

All I do is build songs through extends, I don't have many problems with it personally myself. But that's my personal experience, I can't speak for everyone.

Interesting, I upload my own vocals and stuff all the time and haven't had too much issue with it. Maybe if it continues to be an issue, use 4.5 with the audio upload then cover the song into v5 to get better overal quality. I know it's extra steps but it might be what you are looking for
