I was using a python program to transcribe my audio files when I noticed it had included some snippets of transcribed text from a completely unknown source that had nothing to do with my original audio file.

About 92% of my file was still correct, but occasionally several minutes of someone else's content showed up in my results txt file.

Elevenlabs' staff, please check your servers/system.

did the strange transcription's timestamps match up with a long section of silence

in which case, it's just a hallucination

No, there was speech in there, some layered tracks but the main track was plenty clear enough that it should've been able to transcribe it - it did succeed with most of the file that was similar in style.

I also had the "creativity" parameter set to 0 so it shouldn't be going off rails like that.

It started talking about ghana, FIFA, some random company and international womens day in 2023. Bizarre stuff.

Thankfully nothing sensitive.

I hope so. It was a long track (about an hour) split into segments/chunks of 5 minutes because the servers kept failing with files that were longer than 40 minutes too often.

They even ate my credits without refunding them automatically.
