Upon upgrading your monthly cycle does start over. If the upgrade was successful it should have the correct Current Plan and show the Subscription status as "active" at https://elevenlabs.io/app/subscription.
It might take a few minutes for the upgrade to be reflected after payment has processed. You may need to log out and back in (also can try refreshing the page in your browser but usually need to re-authenticate if the new plan isn't being reflected properly).
