Hello everyone,

I'm new to this community, but I've been using ElevenLabs for a long time. I encountered a problem that still hasn't been resolved. My issue is with using ElevenLabs Turbo v2.5 for the Dutch language. It is 300% faster than the multilingual v2 version, but when it speaks fast, it sounds a bit German-ish. Overall, it articulates correctly about 80% of the time, but the remaining 20% is problematic. Why does this happen?

Hello and welcome to the Discord community, Unfortunately this is not something I am personally knowledgeable about.

I’m just a volunteer Discord moderator and the Turbo v2.5 is too new for me to have spent much time with yet. I have heard some concerns about accent drift though with Turbo 2.5.

In general for the most reliably consistent accents you are best off with a voice that was cloned with samples using that language/accent. If you did clone this voice then it’s possible the sample length was a little too short for the model to consistently replicate the voice properly. At least one hour of samples may be enough to help reduce accent drift, ideally closer to three hours if possible though. But less than an hour could be problematic.
