New to this and not super familiar with discord. I was thinking about flying solo to the Detroit show on Thursday 8/14. Someone recommended checking here first for cheaper tickets, is this the right thread for that?

Correct. The parking you pay for is like a one time use. So if they leave, they could come back(if there’s parking available), but would have to pay again. Otherwise, have them park in one of the side streets(preferably north) and have them chill.

With the amount of people going, I’m sure all they’ll do is scan the code and get you in

Had a bad dream. Doing Chicago show forecast to distract myself

Im seeing a high of 84 to 87 F, low of 73 F, and currently sitting at a 50% chance of thunderstorms during the day

A thunderstorm during an LP concert would be interesting lol. Unfortunately, umbrellas are prohibited from entering the United Center, so I would plan on having a poncho, raincoat, or a buddy you can give your umbrella to

I'm unsure if UC would confiscate the umbrellas or just toss them

Seems like right now, my weather app forecasts rain/storms all day. At least, a 50% chance all day, peaking with a 60% chance 1pm ot 2pm. The NWS's website doesn't have the hourly yet, probably won't until Saturday or Sunday. So plan accordingly :)

Good news for the Chicago concert weather: the SPC has issued a "no severe" forecast for that day

High of 87, low of 75-73. 60% chance of showers with a 50% chance for thunderstorms basically all day

I can't see the exact temperature forecasts throughout the day, probably won't until late today or Sunday. But in my experience the rain can usually lower the temperature

So as long as you bring a raincoat or something, waiting shouldn't be too bad

You can find printable sticker paper on places like Amazon. Just make sure you have the right kind of printer

They usually need an inkjet printer

You can also get cute laminates to put on top self adhesive ones. But you need a special thing to flatten them down

It varies from venue to venue. but people are only let into like the area of the arena with merch, food, etc until about 45 minutes before doors time. then they are lined up in order and let into the pit about 30 minutes before doors.
