Coming from the Austin show, Overflow VIP was absolutely worth it for the combo of the merch but also being guaranteed to be at the very front of the pit - as long as you get there early enough.

I'm not sure how it'll be show-to-show, but they assigned us all numbers throughout the day based on when we arrived to the VIP line. Once inside, we were given wrist bands with those numbers and then got escorted onto the floor in that order.

So my advice? You still want to try to get there a few hours prior to official VIP check in time to secure the best possible spot. Thankfully I arrived about 1:00PM (check in was at 4:30) and wound up being 25 in line, and right behind the barricade for the show.

For me, it was worth the price for that alone, and the extra merch perks made it a huge win.

To add to this, it also was really nice that VIP and LPU had a little time to go to the bathroom and get water before being in the pit the whole show.

As LPU EE it was a great experience

This is my first ST but we've done Rockville and Louder Than Life a bunch and its all DWP. From my experience, one whole set before the headliner will get you a decent spot, at least a little closer than the sound guys (For example, missing all of grandson/BFMV to get onto the field to prep for LP). This sucks less at LTL and Rockville because the two main stages are right next to each other so you're still getting to see both bands. Here, with it only being a single main stage, my methods may not be as effective. lol

Gonna trial and error the first two nights and will see what happens.

You'll be let in when the official doors open and make your way down to the pit. Highly unlikely to be on the barricade, but depending on the LPU EE/VIP size you may be pretty close to stage.

The subway stop is literally in front of the venue. You don't even need to cross the street.

There's food in walking distance.

It is an ok area, but still the city so just keep an awareness about you.

If you don't feel comfortable taking the subway at night, wait at the picnic tables in front of Barclays after the show for a bit and grab an Uber. I did that after the j-hope show because I was too tired for the subway lol. But it was also safer. And I was solo.

It won't get cancelled. 7/31 is a random weekday. 8/1 is a weekend, a lot more appealing especially if you have to travel in for it.

Yes, I was highly disappointed. Just a heads up for anyone thinking of leaving it in the bag. It's structurally not sturdy enough and will cave in on itself bending the poster. To be fair also I was jumping up and down a bit for some songs especially for Casualty

No I haven't. I am meeting up with two friends of mine one will be in the seats with his family and the other one she will meet me in the pit with her bf since she doesnt have LPU. She might not be able to make it due to an ongoing medical issue, but I'm crossing my fingers she'll be ok.

I haven't been in the pit in a 360 stage show, but it's almost certainly a pick a spot and chill there thing. they rotate the stage half way through the 360 shows though so you'll see the whole band 😄

For the NYC show, there is an extreme heat warning beginning 7/28 to 7/29, it will feel like 105°F/40°C. Light colors, lots of sunscreen and staying hydrated is what's in store

At the Dallas show last year I met a lp fan on my flight and I gave her a bracelet and I saw her later at the show and she was able to use the bracelet as a rubber band to hold her vip poster

Poster idea .. purchase 2 or 3 , 6” clear 1.5” acrylic pipes.. have them in your clear bag.. just mix them in your bag.

Then you can roll the poster .. into the pipes and then put them in your VIP duffel.

Yes! And just toss some gum or something in the tubes so they look like holders in the clear bag. They don’t open the clear bags … if everything is visible.
