My son and I decided to see them in Bogota because it was the only date far enough out to get vacation approved (although not anymore 😂 ). Anyone else going to Colombia for the first time?

I’ll be there, but I have been like a gazillion times, so I feel more-or-less like a local at this point. How long will you be staying for?

We’ll have three full days, including the day of the concert. I booked a hotel in Chapinero near a park. It’s close to shops and restaurants and we plan to visit La Candelaria and Monserrate. Is it easy to get around using taxis or Uber or you would you recommend a tour?

Yeah Uber’s are pretty much spot on to get around and they’re safe.

You can definitely book a tour on a website like Airbnb, where they have locals who can take you nice places and have arrangements for you to enjoy the full day.

Are Uber safe to take at night? In general is it safe to drive around inside a car at night in Bogota?

Obviously…good idea to stay inside when it’s dark. But just driving in general

You should be good, but driving is a nightmare in that city and it’s just hard to get a car to be stuck in traffic.

sometimes it’s better to walk (depending on distance) or public transportation if you’ve got someone to show you around, I wouldn’t recommend renting a car in Bogota, like it just isn’t worth it time-wise.

So what’s the scoop with vaccines in Colombia? If I’m only traveling to Bogota, should I get any vaccines before going down there? I heard of Yellow Fever down there and doesn’t sound fun. But apparently those mosquitoes 🦟 are more in the forest region?

I’m kinda on the fence about getting vaccines. As they are a live virus. I don’t want to get the vaccine and get ultra ill from it. According to this map, it’s not recommended for Bogota area. Thoughts?

@uneven girder nah you’re good. You’re gonna get asked at customs about where you’ll stay and stuff, and that’s about it.

they don’t check for ID when you scan the ticket, they just check: If it’s valid, and if it has been used before, other than that, you’re good.

If anything just bring a picture of it (a high quality one) and you should be fine. If you have a drivers license ID or any other form of ID, that also works.

when do you arrive? just walking for a bit will get you up to speed. Try to not over do it cause that’ll give you problems. And if you really struggle with height, try to avoid the more height-centric activities (like going up Monserrate)

My people going to Bogota, let me know if you need any tips or assistance, I’m not a local but I’ve been there enough times to be able to provide assistance where possible.

• If you need local-service, you can get one on Airalo (I have used them extensively in the past and they work OK).
• Use Uber as your main transportation method. It’s the safest of them all, and it shouldn’t be a burden to use it since it is available in a lot of places, so the UX is the same.
• Use your credit card where possible, the exchange rate right now will benefit you a lot, and the currency exchange businesses are not paying very well. So make the most of your hard-earned money and use cards where possible.
• Enjoy the city, it is truly amazing. <3

My response comes a little bit too late, but don't worry. It is for sure a known issue and even I get a little sick from it (I'm from another city a little less higher). My recommendation is to learn breathing techniques and don't panic. If you feel weird, stop walking, stop talking, find a place to sit down and breath reaaaaally slow. That's all

Hi! I don't think we have any info just yet. I think maybe they are waiting to give the new EE system another test drive tonight in Dallas and see how it performs. We'll definitely get EE info by Sunday imo

from what I know, they changed the EE system so that you no longer have to physically go to the venue to get your EE wristband. Now it's an online process where they assign you a number (I don't have much more info other than that 😅)

And yes, we have numbered seats. I also bought a resale ticket for Platea 1 but I’m only confident about the seats I bought during presale. Weirdly, I noticed that we have two seats in the same row but with three seats in between us. But if everyone is standing, that won’t make a difference.

Update: I’ve had three cancelations for the ride after the concert for payment reasons that don’t seem to apply to any other rides we’ve taken and scheduled this trip – including the ride TO the venue.

Right now I have an Uber scheduled but I wouldn’t be surprised if that ends up being cancelation #4. . We’re moving to a hotel that’s a half-hour walk from the venue in case rides are impossible after.

No, we stayed at Salvio (Hilton), then moved Hotel Factory Green near the venue the day of the concert. The latter offered shuttle service to the concert, which I didn’t realize until we checked in. If I went to another concert at that venue, I’d stay there again for the transportation.
