I'm so used to them now, the reduction in sound doesn't bother me. It's obviously much quieter, but I'd probably be deaf by now if I didn't have them. I only use the highest level filters, so if there's a cheaper option that just comes with those, that might be a good shout.

I've got tiny ears, and they're really comfortable. The one time I had to take them out because I thought it was cutting too much out, it turned out that it was actually the venue mix being rubbish (couldn't hear Kirk Hammett's leads).

The main reason I started wearing them was that I was at a small club gig, and didn't realise I was stood next to an ear-level speaker until the gig started, and I've never felt ear pain like it. I moved away, but was genuinely worried my hearing would be gone the next day 😬

I've generally found them quite comfy and i have quite small ears, they come with different ear attachement sizes too so have found them a snug

But muse, 30stm, Madonna etc were just normal so hard to know.

Hi I was just at the NY show and I used Loops earplugs and they were outstanding! A little more expensive but overall really comfortable and they did so well with all the sound. Eargasm are great too, and earasers as well.

Hamburg resale has just gone live, so on that basis I’m thinking London resale will go live on Friday. I do actually agree with them doing it late in some respects, to try to deter scalpers.

Bottles of water is extremely expensive. When I saw bring me the horizon in January it was about £4.30 for a small bottle of water.
Oh and after the concert don’t hang around. I was one of the first out (this was on a Sunday) and there was one group of masked indivudals clearly looking to rob people. I jogged to my car and there was a smaller group of about 5 outside the car park as well. It’s London anyway (been robbed 4 times at knife point) so yeah don’t risk it.

Just had a look and an uber is about £8 to that road from the o2 directly. Traffic will be busy coming out for buses and taxis. You could walk up the road a bit and get it to collect you rather than right in the o2 as it will take him a while to get and out again

He might also charge more just because its a nightmare for them to get in and out

Nah you're all good! Yeah if you want to bus/walk it, I'd avoid the hill and get a 108 or 422 and get off at the Royal Standard, they'll be a row of shops you'll walk down and round a corner to Westcombe Park and follow that road down and you'll find it. Or yeah the uber, try prebook if you can too or you'll be waiting out in the dark for a while.

I saw this late but this is my approach - I’m autistic and highly vigilant on environment. First time robbed on the 263 in north London with a knife in year 7. Had 60p in my wallet, they both laughed and walked to the back of the bus. 2nd time outside the school reported to the police station (it’s now a Jewish school) and they said fill a form out…. I didn’t bother with police from the day forward. Have an Uber or taxi booked so it’s ready and you aren’t hanging around. Just because some people here haven’t gone through the crap doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist.

Gangs will look for stragglers or people that splinter off from groups. After the bring me show these two groups I saw were scanning everyone. I got past the first group and then there was another one outside the car park but I ran at that point. If anything seems off just run. Don’t have your phone out. I’ve lived in London all my life and it has got worse.

and no having a knife pulled on you ain’t “fun” . It just messes up your head and you become even more hyper vigilant to your surrounds.

I wouldn't say it's good, because it scared the 💩 out of me when I went on it in windy weather once, but there's a cable car that takes you over the Thames, and it gives you a great view of the O2

Do not for a second second guess that it’s “safe” this isn’t a nice little coastal town in Spain where at night I can have my phone in the air and nobody cares. Cities are all like this (again from my experience - Barcelona and Madrid)

I’d feel safer knowing I was in a train full of other LP fans heading back to Victoria. You won’t be on your own. There is usually a great community feeling heading back to main stations after a gig.

I got to an animal sanctuary and the amount of adults and kids that throw rubbish on the floor, open car doors and hit cars (it’s happened to me so often I’ve given up) I just don’t care for people anymore. Traffic is going to be awful at kick out time. Personally, I’d get the tube, but it’s a personal preference thing. I’ve not had any bad experiences travelling home from a gig.

I think they’ve still got loads of roadworks going on round the venue which doesn’t help - unless they’ve cleared since I last went.

Yeah the Overground is still part of the same TFL network, it just (as the name suggests) is all overground. But all the lines you can use contactless payment at the barriers, just tap in and out

Premier Inn is quite a good chain. You’ve got one in Sidcup at a decent price and wouldn’t be too much agg to get to. 4 stops on the Jubilee line and change at London Bridge to Sidcup. Premier Inn is right outside the station.

Yes, there are water fountains dotted around the venue that bottles can be filled at.

TfL Go app covers London’s travel network as well, included buses, tubes and trains, and is really helpful with planning trips, including how far it’ll take to walk from stations/stops to locations.

Stansted’s Express stops at Tottenham Hale Station on route into London. It’s right outside the station.

Getting back is quite easy. Jubilee line, change for Victoria Line at Green Park station.

If you touch in and out with the same card for every journey, it'll cap it daily, with the price cap depending on the zones you travel through and what time. This covers travel on the underground, national rail, trams, buses, overground etc. In many cases the cap is less than the cost of a travelcard - there is a tfl web page that shows you the daily caps, just google "TFL Caps and Travelcard prices"

There's usually like little kiosk as you walk round to entrances and know the upper levels there's also little places for merch there too. First level and pit, I'd assume so too but it's been years since I've been through those entrances

We’ve noticed that the wrong door time was advertised for this event – it will actually be 18:30, not 17:00.

The correct door time is 18:30!

Everything else is staying exactly the same and your tickets are still valid - you don't need to do anything other than show up on the night.

Crazy, I was at LP's last show with Chester in Birmingham and had meet and greet, we held a memorial at the arena there two weeks after it happened and now in a few days will be travelling to see LP again! I remember walking back to my hotel that night thinking 'Wow, I can't wait for the next tour', it's been a long seven years, life takes some strange journeys!

I'd say that the upper sections really won't be as bad as other venues. The 02 is steep so you'll be close to the stage, which is in the centre. You'll all still have a great seat and atmosphere in the clouds

I have a guess at what's happened. Yesterday, those resale tickets were maybe the Ticketmaster ones and sold at face value. Today, these are all the AXS resale where you are allowed to add on 10% and so today's tickets are all more expensive than face value. I think.

Premium will have a much better view though! And closer to the stage so more atmosphere. The view from the 400 sections is good but I have sat there a few times and I felt quite removed from the artist and the action

Mosh pits will break out in the standing area (I expect on all 3 sides of the stage, since it's in the middle). If they do it's often closer to the stage. If you don't want to be in one, just be wary of when they start to open and get yourself back or to the side, and put some people between you and the pit to act as a buffer when folks go flying 😅
