Hi, I have a problem with my ARK server. I can join the server without any issues, but my friend cannot connect.
When he tries to join, he gets the error “No response from server”.
The server is visible in the Steam server list and it shows a normal ping. I already restarted the server and increased the player limit, but the problem is still there.
Both of us are playing ARK: Survival Evolved on Steam, and we are using the same server IP.
Do you know what could cause this?

Im only fit in Ark for console so I cant help much with this error. Maybe another <@&1339549995543826514> knows.

Hey there 🙂
Your friend can try to clear all the download cache from steam.
To do that, go to settings, then downloads and there's a button then to delete the cache. Helps sometimes.
Joining in general, it's a good idea to get the server into the favourites.
To do so, go to view, then servers, then press the + in the pop up menu, then enter "ip:port" (without the ") and see if it's being displayed.
Once the server shows, open the game, then join ark, then select favourites in the bottom left and leave the rest of the search options standard.
Server should show up here after some refreshing the page.

I'll try to test it today, but I don't know yet if I'll succeed. I also contacted support, and they said only new hardware would help, so we got a new IP address. However, the problem persisted after that.

Ja haha, ist nur gerad schwer, bin unterwegs😅 Ich würde einfach Bescheid geben und dann kannst du ja sagen ob es bei dir geht oder nicht. Habe es seitdem auch nicht nochmal probiert, da ich keine Zeit hatte

Wir würden es heut gern nochmal probieren, gestern konnte ich auch nicht mehr auf den Server joinen, vielleicht geht es ja heute besser 😅
