can someone help me with moving a single player save on Mine Craft java over to the server so i can have other players help me with a build that i have partially completed?
i have VC and can screen share if needed in a chat. i used filezilla to move my save from my single player file to the server however after launching the server it just seems to have created a new world not imported my full save game data

that is the exact video i used, but it doesnt seem to have worked as the world just seems to be a fresh start world, not the saved world i imported

sorry dane i should have clarified more, so it looks like it is the same seed, i seleceted the save file for the single player world in gportal instead of create new, however the progress made on the server such as buildings build mine shafts made, as well as my characters inventory etc. is not present
is there a seperate file that needs to be copied into the FTP from the single player data folders?

every thing inside the singleplayer world folder
make sure to stop the server. before doing any upload. and go into basic settings. and pick that world under world selection section. and hit save. before starting up the server again.,

so i cleaned everything out, deleted the server, started a new one launched the game, logged in to get data built in the world, quit the game. went into gportal stopped the fresh server, FTP connected, copied the entire save game folder over to the server, back to gportal selected the saved file that popped up in the drop down, matched world and world name, launched the server again.
Once i connected to the server, it was the right seed, however my character had no gear and the progress done in the server was no longer there. i looked in filezilla and confirmed that player data was within the save game that was copied into the gportal data.
Im still not sure what i am missing to get my invetory and the progress made on the seed to work on the server.

yes i have verified there are the right region files as well

as well as data folder. and level dat fil .. could you take a screenshot of what the world folder on the server looks like in the ftp.
make sure to turn off server again.

test1 is the generic seed used on launching the new server, the 10_22_25 file is the single player imported save

cant atm. as iam prepping dinner. last thing you could try. is start a new world with the seed of the old save. then ones its startet up. and you joined it. log off again. close server. move all the singleplayer world data. into that world folder on the server via ftp.
