#Connection issue (Minecraft game server)

Hey, it's me again.
I was able to get my server running earlier today with the Cute Craft modpack.
My friends suggested adding 1 more mod to the server and so we did. I made a backup beforehand just in case anything goes wrong.
Once the mod was added, I was still able to join and play for a bit but noticed my connection getting worse.
While my friends were all still able to play without any problems, I on the other hand could no longer fully login? The connection just got even worse, though it was working just fine when we had installed that 1 additional mod.
I opened my support ticket online and have since then tried the following:

  • anthony_ of support branch stopped the server for me, changed the ip and port (no success)
  • tried joining using both custom subdomain and given ip via server menu and Direct Connect (no success)
  • changed server.properties render distance to a lower value (no success)
  • removed the 1 mod that we added (no success)
  • restarted my PC after following this guide: https://youtu.be/32tiCwpNaYw?si=ZHCGBAdLCvA5lS-R (no success)
  • created a new world (no success)
  • tried to join with another account of mine (no success)
  • loaded in the backup (no success)
  • reinstalled the modpack using the imported modpack of a friend that was able to join the server still (no success)
  • logged onto another server using the same modpack (succesfully!) ⁉️
    Console keeps giving me this log: [19:18:49] [Server thread/INFO] [minecraft/ServerLoginPacketListenerImpl]: com.mojang.authlib.GameProfile@5d15e5a9[id=bb34f528-7f87-45a1-b431-fca5fba4d72f,name=Fukyagaku,properties={textures=[com.mojang.authlib.properties.Property@49b344e0]},legacy=false] (/79.234.233.128:64721) lost connection: Took too long to log in [19:18:50] [Server thread/WARN] [minecraft/Connection]: handleDisconnection() called twice
    Client switched between: Internal Exception Java.net.socketexception Connection Reset and Failed to connect to the server: Timed out
    Because I was able to join another server with a copy of our world, I am unsure what's causing this on my end? I am getting desperate however since I tried everything there is with no success so far.
    I have not yet tried to restart my router.
    Maybe it's useful information: I chose a server hosted in India since geographically it's in the middle of all of us friends playing, hoping to secure the best connection for each and everyone. Most of them are joining from Australia while some of us are from Europe.

there are also server perfomance mods that can be installed. if they are not already in the modpack. all depending on what loader and version the modpack is. those you can try and google up .

You were right, it was just temporary. But it does happen quite often.
What exactly is it that I should take a look at at my firewall?

The same problem is occurring again, which is why I think it is time-dependent actually.

Yeah, that would be very unfortunate then.
Do you think a VPN could help this case?

it might be able to. but not sure. you could try and send in a ticket. and se if they know a way to move your server from india . to a difrent country.
