Hello do you have it on Legacy edition? I believe to use mods you have to have it on Legacy edition. Im not sure about playing the new dlc with mods Ive yet to get that information.

You cant use mods with the new DLC at all. You woul have to use the legacy edition

in server settings, i have to select aquatica Dlc to find and enter the server, even though i just want to play Legacy and am currently playing The island map
