all the hard work down the drain we are going to lose everything to the deep desert because gportal employs incompetent devs.

It’s literally a skill issue. And no it’s not a funcom problem.

They just need a VALIDATION FALLBACK AFTER RESTARTS.

It’s that simple, any time now a dev will wake up and hit restart and the battle group will be up again. This has happened multiple times already in the short time the game has been out.

All they have to do is ping the server after restart and if it’s not available re try the restart until it pings successfully.

I will literally fix it for free, hire me as an intern.

these guys are german so they probably use poopy hertzner boxes... half of their hosts are straight up blocked by isps around the world, thats why its 14 bucks for a dedicated box

tbh nitrado sucks and ive never heard of xrealm before, looks like server issues are across service providers nitrado 100 is down and its one of their most populated clusters

You could go xrealm as well - you’ll find horror stories on all 3 providers tho.

I was researching them last night tho and nitrado only appears to have a 24 person option as the lowest? I only need it for 5 so am considering xrealm.

No they all host on their own infra, funcome controls things like timing of patches etc but gportal is always late or early which results in mismatching version numbers and breaks the game, also they dont have a simple restart validation script that will make sure when a server goes down for restart that IT WILL COME BACK UP. Then they get swarmed with 100s of tickets and your server stays offline for 48h plus because they probably have a single intern guy working on their infra
