Hello. I would like to make a suggestion. As players evolve into this game protection seems to be the priority. Servers now have the ability to get zones placed around their bases to protect their build while offline. However, even these zones are active the defense items within the base do not function, for example, turrets shut down and will not fire while the zone is active. Are we able to get this to be a function during active zones?

no the reason why turrets and shotgun traps don’t work with the offline raid protection is because with koas bot and veretech bot they make it so turrets cannot deal damage just like how people cannot do base damage when you have offline protection is there a way to make it were turrets can do this when they zone is offline you would need to ask in which ever bot discord you would be in koas or veretech
Thank you. I have KAOS and they state the issue is with Gportal and not the bot which is why I came here. I sports the update. I will revert back to the bot
the issue is with GPortal ? hmmm the turrets haven’t been able to shot with the offline protection being red for a while now im not exactly sure if that’s something Gportal can fix 😂 because the problem is they are just the provider they don’t really touch any commands or fix them that’s more of a d11 thing they are the devs if this is actually something that is broken

I do not believe this is true,
The turrets do not fire because d11 have it this way, there is nothing particular about kaosbot or veretech's ORP features that forcefully disable turrets etc.
oh really so you guys just use the rust wiki zones and then edit them in your bot ?

The issue is with "PVB", when used globally (or in a zone) - turrets do not fire.

so what happens if you turn pvb off then will the turrets shoot or no ?

pvb on = turrets fire
pvb off = turrets dont fire.

My suggestion is for those using zone protection features to make their zones smaller, the goal is to protect the base(core), not the entire compound etc.

This way turrets can exist outside the (now smaller) zone, being able to fire.
so wait doesn’t that mean the pvb slider and the pvp slider are still bugged because i know they were swapped for a little while and pvb didn’t work for a little while but im not sure if they fixed it
So turrets not firing is part of the PVE protection under having PVB off. That has been set like that for awhile now. That is d11 sided. Something like a zone or even the bots offline protection are just an extension of that.
This was set in place during/after playtest because they felt that those traps were exploiting the PVE settings and at the time, we weren't able to prevent them from stopping.
