#Rust Console: How to change event cool down timers!

I figured out recently how to accurately change the event cooldown timers for Rust Console. I have not seen this information anywhere else. I made a couple reddit posts yesterday about how to do it and thought it would be a good idea to post it here to to help any RCE server owners. Some of you may know it already but I assume many do not know as I haven't found the information anywhere.

Anyway....events.cooldowntimemultiplier is easy. It's just a number. It took me a little bit to accurately change the events.cooldowntime as there are more than one variable ex. '48.00 ~ 72.00'

To adjust the cool down timer accurately just follow this example:

events.cooldowntime event_helicopter "32" "44"

Default #s for heli is: (48.00 ~ 72.00)

Once entered into the game's console on Gportal or in game, it should be changed to

events.cooldowntime event_helicopter 32.00 ~ 44.00

That's it really. Do note that Heli will patrol for around 15 minutes. If the first value is "32" heli could spawn as early as 32 minutes after the previous spawn which means there's only about 15 minutes without a heli patrolling the map.

The same format works for other events to change the cool downs:
event_cargoship
event_helicopter
event_cargoheli
event_airdrop

I hope this helps everyone looking for a solution to get them to work as intended 🙂
Stay deadly ya'll!!!

so for the events cooldown and multipliers this information is right but the only thing you are missing is they must go by integers like (1-12) etc i don’t know the max exactly but you have to put a number after you do said command cause if you just leave it like that it will only list the cooldowns/multipliers

Right, you said, "the only thing you are missing is they must go by integers like (1-12)"

Numbers can be 1.2 or 4.2 it doesn't have to be 1-12. Any number really. Negative numbers may not work. Letters won't work either 😛
