What do you mean it won't let you login on the website, what error are you getting?

Bare in mind on the website, you should be choosing the Microsoft login button, not entering details manually until you set a password on your G-Portal account

Hmmm, have you purchased a server yet? Like on the Xbox app or anything?

And you logged in with Xbox on that right? I think that's the only option iirc

Yeah that's baffled me, make sure it's definitely the same Microsoft account email you're using

Otherwise, I'd make a ticket as this would be a more technical support side of things

Not sure if you solved this, but just click forgot password and enter you Microsoft email, once you get the email just input a password and then log in as normal
