Okay so since we have crafting it should be more than just station upgrades and weapons right? lol.
I could see good uses for rappelling off sides of buildings - like fire departments etc. It probably would just have to be a one time use thing though where you can craft it, use it and then you can't collect it and use it over again. That also does open the window to many questions like WHO can use the item and if we should let players climb rope up walls. I just feel it could be good for escaping from high places instead of submitting to sewerside'ing into a horde.

Fair I mean equipable gear could just be something added, cosmetically added later cause that's sorta finicky and depends on if the model wants to behave
