Taking inspiration from Condemned: Criminal Origins, tool-weapons should also serve a secondary purpose.

The sledgehammer or axe can break down a barricaded door. Noisy, and takes half the durability of the weapon.

A crowbar could pry open any locked container.

Another one is the 2 handed firearms, although not being able to be used with full-melee capabilities, guns like the rifles, and the shotguns should give us a chance for a loud, but effective stealth kill from the back.

Sledgehammer and Crowbar mechanics sound interesting.

2-handed weapons (aside from a dual wielding pair of pistols that are definitely gonna be in this game) are not likely to be here. Wouldn't be expecting many kill-em all weapons in this game.

Thinking about it now, gun executions would be kind of pointless to have too unless there was some unique mechanic with them that separated them from melees.
