#Protection / Armors

There Vests will be make slow your Speed...but
theres had Different Speed debuff. ( ex. Stab vest lower more then Armor Carrier )
I think the tradeoff of losing an inventory slot might already be enough when it comes to "armoring" a character.
or if its particularly heavy, two slots.
but armor would be really good way to protect. I think it should be a thing!
In terms of hp not being enough, I disagree. You can definately kill a few zombies from full health with no weapon. Any form of no resource kill should be treated as a punish, and the scare resources make the game feel and realistically make the game very hard.
At the end of my demos (which I'll make full run guides) you'll see by the end of it my runs end on a semi self sustaining run, so with that detail and upcoming evidence, I would have to say that resources including melee weapons and health should actually be more scarce (on a harder difficulty). The current difficulty which I assume is "medium" is fine.
I would have imagined he was considering body armor because not just zombies but people shooting at you potentially. Like bad military people or bandits.
Like Mason did to Poor Private at DIVIDED.
Yea, People not sure all Good at other Survivors so.
I find the current health reasonable, wanting to introduce armor might turn the game into some RPG shit that might ruin the game for me
what I could find acceptable it's stuff like padded clothes, firefighter protective gear and soft armor
even simple stuff like biker's accessories
a chest guard which are purely out of plastic
although I've got no clue what the models during the 80s would look like
since some can get a bit flamboyant
Soft armor it's what a lot of the police you see are always wearing, they provide some protection towards pistol calibers as they are made out of kevlar
Plate carriers its excessive as most of the army back then only used rigs
most soldiers used a Flak Vest
which is also kevlar but thicker
if im honest wanting ballistic protection it's the wrong priority during an outbreak as even if you get into a fight the close ranges wont save you from several impacts back to back
Yeah, especially since there's also a Heatwave that's happening in the setting. That armor will be uncomfortable to wear.
Eh, you can always get under a roof and wait it out
but my issue is trying to use armor in the game might force the devs to compensate and add stronger zombies
which.. would just make it into an RPG
"you dont have this and this? youre too weak to enter"
"you need this level armor and this level gun to win"
essentially taking after ItTD2 lol
thats just dumb
Yeah, crystal clear
I highly disagree. The character's HP is MORE than capable of taking like 7+ hits. It's almost too generous.
Realistically getting hit by more than 2 zombies at a time should be an instant death
