My god when Whirring started playing I almost shed a tear
The moment before that solidified to me that this game was a masterpiece, but then when Whirring came on, it got me REAL hyped! I had never heard of the song or the band before so this was my introduction, and because of it, I recently checked out “The Big Roar”, which is now one of my favorite rock albums ever. It is explosive and extraordinary, and I thank the devs of Hi Fi Rush for adding it to the games soundtrack. It reminded me of when I heard Atlas by Battles in LittleBigPlanet, which then made me love and adore the band and their album “Mirrored” (another rock gem of an album).

Iirc he only has 1 attack that isn't a partner opening in phase 2, so just learn how to avoid getting hit by that and you're set. I could be misremembering though, been a couple weeks since I wrapped up

If all you need is hitless for the challenge, you could always use the high risk/high reward chip to lighten the load

also I personally don't like how people underestimate Kale's skill
He's clearly a very skilled fighter, but it's like Dio from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure
his ego prevents him from seeing his enemy as they are and he constantly sees the enemy as lesser than him, psychologically resulting in him not trying as hard
for example, him VS 808
He clearly wasn't really trying because he didn't think he'd have to try that hard against a cat, lol
also it's clear by the phase 1 death message that he views the fight as a way to feed his ego by calling it an "epic fight" and calling his own weapons "the good stuff"

these alone will carry you and get you 8min+ time by the end of it

if you're going for no hit achievements, you can actually just quit to title screen when you take damage and go back to previous checkpoint and it won't count the damage
it's definitely a pussy strat, but if you just want to get 100% then go ahead
hopefully this information helps some of you!
(i should mention though, if you mess up a 1 to 1 defense part though, you can't really revert as it saves very quickly after)

when doing the individual boss fight no hit achievements
if you geet hit during the fight just exit to title screen
and it'll put you at the checkpoint at the start of the phase you're currently in
so for Kale, if you get hit during chorus 1, you can just exit to title and retry that entire phase again
