Hi,
I’ve spent about 50 hours in the game so far (currently exploring around the 250m altitude mark) and I’d like to share some suggestions for future improvements:
Ship Hitboxes: The current hitboxes make it difficult to land on islands or jump back onto the ship without building ramps. Reducing them slightly would improve immersion and ease of movement.
Mobility: Adding "landing gear" or a functional elevator for ships would be a great addition.
AI Exploits: Ents are currently too easy to lure into the water to farm XP. Their pathfinding or behavior near water might need a tweak.
Compass Scanning: The scanning skill feels underpowered. It doesn't highlight resources effectively, and the visual flash is too brief to provide useful information.
Ship Building Mechanics: Building complex ships is currently counter-intuitive. Constructing from the top down (or middle-out) is difficult. A dedicated "layer-by-layer" building mode or a more flexible "shipyard" system would help a lot.
Loot & Chests: The reward for finding locked chests often doesn't match the effort of grinding for keys/lockpicks. I suggest adding more valuable loot, making lockpicks craftable (even if expensive), or increasing the drop rate of keys.
Map System: A simplified 3D map (e.g., a sphere showing explored islands within a 2km radius) would greatly help with navigation.
Telescope Upgrades: An upgraded version of the telescope with better zoom would be a nice progression step.
Inventory Management: Adding a "Quick Stack" feature (depositing similar items into a chest without opening it) or an automated sorting system with pipes/master chests would solve many storage headaches.

Backpack Upgrades: The ability to craft larger bags or unlock more inventory slots via skill points is much needed.
Building Blocks: Adding diagonal blocks and improving the snapping/rotation of half-blocks would allow for much better designs. A shortcut key for rotation modes would be ideal.
Light Sources: There is currently no clear way to relight brazier-type objects once they are picked up and moved.
Content Density: After 50 hours, I’ve found very few inscriptions and mini-bosses. Increasing the spawn rate of unique mobs and challenges would make progression feel more rewarding.
Shipwrecks: Small wrecks feel empty. Adding at least one random chest or a corpse with loot would make exploring them worthwhile and more fun.
Mining Expansion: Mining feels like a minor feature right now. Adding a scanner to find underground mineral veins could turn it into a more engaging gameplay loop.
More animals and life on islands please! And recruitable NPC to work on a ship would be a golden shot!
Thanks for the great game, looking forward to seeing how it evolves!

yea but without finding rats i cant go above 260, and they are only on 250+ and its hard to find Islands on the exact altitude with possibility to jump on in (ship hit box unabling to stand block to block)

you don't need rat tails for the altitude upgrade. if you look at your core there are 3 DIFFERENT options to upgrade. for the first altitude upgrade you need like 200 coins, a few planks and 5 mortivar skulls.

Hey, these are some really great suggestions, I can say that a large portion of them are already on our radar and we’re actively thinking about how to implement them in interesting ways

As for the light sources, you actually can relight those objects, you just need to have a torch in your hand

+++1000 on the locked chests and loot balance. I am at 1262 altitude and tons of dungeons, temples, etc and you can imagine my jumping for joy when I unlock stuff like wooden sticks. Or wooden gloves. Thaaaanks. Should have gotten that a looong time ago! So many missing low level dumb blue prints still at 100 hours in game.

As for landing on the island, yeah, I don't anymore. I bring my ship up to the edge or land the ships nose on the edge. Way easier because tress and such. Still great suggestions on the elevator, landing gear ideas, after all it is an air ship game so the air ship needs a little bit more front and center.
