Really?
“Clickity Clackity”
As a passionate slurrist, I find this offensive to the craft
A good way to tell if a slur is “slur” enough is to plug it into the sentence: “That Fkng B*tch *ss (insert slur here) just stole my car!” If you don’t feel incredibly stupid saying that, it either means:
1: The word should be considered for becoming a slur.
Or 2: You have terrible instincts for the art of slurs and should leave the creation of derogatory terms to other, more talented individuals.
Unfortunately this takes quite a lot of self reflection, which is something many aspiring slurrists lack.
my man is trained in the art of slurrism
i was thinking "those darn clickity-clackities always doing (thing)"
but yeah completely fair enough, I'll prune a few out
it sorta reminds me of a list of slurs that was made up by someone on twitter i think to be used against white people, and they were so bad. nobody's getting offended at "baby powder" or "beach flamingos"
This game shouldn't use slurs in any dialogue though because it's needlessly controversial and it doesn't make sense for the type of game this is
some made-up slurs also tend to draw from real slurs so to many it would be distasteful even if you personally find it funny
unless you're making a game that is intended to make social commentaries in its narratives (think the witcher or cyberpunk), it's more harm than not introducing stuff like that because it provides controversy that could be easily avoided and negative PR which can turn people away from playing the game
