  4. Custom Prompt:
    Enter just a single space (don’t use jailbreaks or extra text).

  5. Save Changes, then refresh the JanitorAI page.
    This step is important—after saving, refresh before chatting, or you may get network/proxy errors.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

  • Don’t use instructions, jailbreaks, or custom prompts—this lowers quality and can cause errors.
  • Make sure the URL is typed exactly as above (no backticks, emojis, or typos).
  • JanitorAI sometimes shows “Unknown response: [object Object]” if the setup is wrong or JanitorAI has an issue.

If you see "A network error occurred", "Unknown response", or similar:
These errors typically come from the JanitorAI website, not from our API. If your setup matches the instructions and it still fails, try later or contact JanitorAI staff.
