I've been getting this error for a few weeks, I guess, and it won't let me even start the chat (it springs up right after my first message). I'm still not entirely sure if it's the model's problem, tho, I think it might be because the character I created is "heavy", whether in the advanced settings, or ordinary ones. But I shrank its content, kept it under 1000 tokens as to permanent tokens, and the error occurred anyway, so I don't know what the cause is, or whether there is a solution
#Error 400.

It happens a bit often, so don't worry about it
Its simply the API occasionally having a stroke
Sometimes it works perfectly, and sometimes... Yeah, it doesn't
So, technically, it's not because of heavy characters?

Hello! I'll try it again, alright. But the thing is that I haven't changed anything, except for temperature, top K, etc.,since I was setting it up by the tutorial. I remember it working in the first half of October, I then switched to agnaistic for a while and then I came back, detailed my character, and chub hasn't been responding since
And, one more thing, I wonder if I can use a custom system prompt, that's not in a character, or do I better keep the default one?
I said that a million times. please understand!
DON'T USE ANY CUSTOM PROMPT!
Alright, thank you
Sorry is this might come out as ignorant or something like that, but why not? I'm just curious
Because custom prompts are used to change models interactions by giving it instructions (like telling openai it can do nsfw, or to act a specific way). Because of the instructions, it alters the 'natural' way the api responds with back, which can cause a multitude of problems, like same-character syndrome, gibberish, make cosmos have worse responses/feel downgraded, and a few others issues. Not always, but the chance is like... 90%. Essentially, you give cosmos a good character definition with a clear way of directing/acting as the character in the script, and add cataracts (custom prompts) so it can't read the script well, if that makes sense.
It probably sounds about little silly describing it like that lol. As I tell people, it's a 'use one and understand what can happen or don't use one', but most dont realize that it won't work for every character. I use one, specifically only for dead dove characters, but its severely outdated and makes the characters a part of the tag feel the same exact character (even though they have noteable differences in speech or personality)
