#Bots can't stop talking for me.

I put prompts to not talk for user into post history and system prompt, the first message doesn't have speaking for user, the example messages too. I use 3d person (Some people say it helps), I tell in the end of a message to not write for me in all kinds of ways. It's getting really annoying, I can't get a message without a bot talking for me.

Most of the time its the bots definition, but you can just edit the bots message and remove the speaking for {{user}} part, edit one or two and the bot will catch on.

โฌ†๏ธ Or the description etc, as if it has anything for the user at all in the description, dialogue, first message, the bot is prone to treating the user as an NPC and talks for them a lot more.

Will [{{user}} is male] somewhere in bot's profile also count? I never have {{user}] speak in the first message or in any of the messages. But I do feel like that once I introduce an NPC the bot starts to talk for me a lot more. Like one bot has children, after I talked as one of them, bot started to write for me a lot more. It's like that if those NPCs are in the bot's definition and not too.

Hmn, not usually just setting a gender if you are doing specific pov. It's mainly descriptions, giving example dialogues etc that does it.

How long are the messages you send during roleplay? I have noticed as well that if you don't send semi-descriptive messages yourself that the bot will fill in for the player more too, as they are adding more to work with.

I tend to have no user takeovers when I send 2 or more paragraphs. As long as you have dialogue/actions, and then like ask a question or give an action that prompts the bot to do something, it tends to happen less as well

I guess they are not that long since I'm used to not write a lot myself, on one site I could write one sentence and get a novel back without bots roleplaying for me. And also I just don't know what more I can write :'D Perhaps it's because the site I used had shorter messages, 200 tokens max, and right now on other site I have it at close to 300. Maybe it was short enough on the first site to write something without talking for me, but now it has a lot more space and it struggles to fill it in...

That is possible, the longer the bot talks the more chances it has to takeover also, as it runs out of its own actions. If you are sending shorter responses, setting it to receive shorter as well can help
