Everyone hates change because they feel like it disadvantages them but in my opinion this patch has the greatest skill expression possible from both strikers and defenders yet.
Dribbling should not be a matter of spamming Vexis animation cancels over and over, but should be a matter of predicting the defender and outplaying them.
I also like that defending has a higher skill ceiling now with the autoassist off. Bad defenders will need to correct their habits and can't rely on the computer to guess for them, while good defenders will beat good dribblers who can no longer rely on spamming vexis to force autoassist tackles to go in the wrong direction 90% of the time.
I generally think rematch is heading in the right direction and I like the game a lot more every patch. I'm not a fan of a techy animation cancel dribble meta where one guy dribbles through three people because their tackle autoassist locks on wrong.
I think the game is much healthier with a passing and teamplay meta over one where a dude spams the same move over and over and expects to beat multiple defenders.
