#Dribble buff

The game feels really one dimensional as far as offense goes. I know the idea of hero ball probably isn't the most favored idea but when you think about the fact that most gamers aren't stacking giving the solo a bit more power might go a long way as far as longevity and favorability goes for the game. I'm somebody that loves making dribblers on 2k and fifa, I use dribbling as a way to create 1on2 or 2on3 chances for my teammates. I brought that up because in this game it annoys me no end when I absolutely fry my man marker and start to look up field trying to create those odd number advantages but in in rematch there really is no leaving your man marker because all it takes is one sprint boost and or a slide and the is ALWAYS right back defending you. I understand the fear of "egoist" ball where players will just refuse to pass but I think the game is just a couple of buffs away from a truly fun addicting experience. Sn. Im going to make another post with my actual suggestions on what could be practically done to buff the offense.

I also want to say I really do love the game and I heard the team making and working on this game Isn't all that big but I'm in college for software engineering and learning game dev as well and if you guys ever have any interning spots available lmk!

The last thing this game needs is to further pander to or encourage dribblers.
It's mind numbingly boring. Everyone just stands there watching while one guy zips back and forth.. The devs themselves said they did not want to go in that direction. No thank you

# plush perch I hear you but this pass heavy meta is truly just as boring if not more. I play ...

I have to strongly disagree with that take. It's a team sports game, the focus should always and will always be the team effort, not one guy thinking he's impressing anyone.

The passing game is hella fun and rewarding when done right!

As mentioned, the devs have said they do not want to cater to the egoist behavior, so there's really nothing to discuss. The moment you make it into a "solo game" it will die. Literally no one is interested in other people dribbling.

In regards to your difficulties, yea you can't expect quality teammates every single time when being bunched up with randoms. It's literally the same for every single competitive team game.

I think both should exist in tandem, besides you can't really enable pass-gameplay if you have no way of creating space from your defender as a lone player anyway, but dribbling should definitely not be in a spot where it is dribble entire enemy team consistently and score, dribbling is the healthiest when you have good options to beat out 1-2 defenders coming to eat you, and then pass it off because you have now opened up offense with a man-advantage

i will say that maybe at the highest level dribbling is very weak but honestly in ranked u can dribble pretty much anyone , u just need to practice a lil more

The fact that you cant dribble round a bunch of people is an issue because even getting round one person that's good at defending is so hard that getting a shot of would be impossible if the defender has a good keeper behind them. Yeah some hogging the ball would be annoying but when used correctly the game becomes way more interesting and entertaining.
People that are crazy at the game can also use it in solo que to take on players instead of having to pass it to someone and keep the ball for another 2 minutes just to try and play a pass to the edge of the box anyway.

I feel that both over dribblers and bad defenders need to face some consequences.

Honestly, some dribbling skills need to consume far more stamina or at least have much higher cool downs, and running needs to consume far less.

You should not be allowed to make even one useless dribbling move and still be allowed to try again before the defender who didn't fall for it didn't even get a chance to tackle.

And missed tackles should have a much higher recovery, while successful tackles need to leave the tackled player deal with a bigger recovery. Like make them fall or something.

This game is too concerned with making everyone happy and buffing everything.

In the end, nobody is happy except the people who have played it less than a few hours. But even they before long are left to realize it's a bit annoying to see bad players get rewarded and good players getting nothing.

Last thing
Compare what you said to other games and there are no eSports.
What you said is like removing the ability to jump in rocket league
It's like removing building from fortnite
It's like removing the ability to aim in any first person shooter.
Overall your an idiot that's has to rely on your teammates to save you and you want to see the game fail miserably because the game is so boring to watch. If you don't want there to be any mechanical skill gap then your just part of the issue and a boring person

I really agree with this view, long time ago a proposed a system to truly enable a bit of better dribblings but not encouraging solo plays.

In attack I'm annoyed because since the new patch, there is really no way to create a consistent space from a defender, apart from 2 possible events:

  1. the defender is really bad, he overcommits, you pass easily with a push ball, but still, he can recover with effort + slide, so it is still not really easy to pass with a shot after this
  2. using exploits/having high ping, broken skills possible just from m&k or 2x sens, or with high ping, you can often pass through tackles and gain an advantage.

I would probably increase the stamina by a considerable amount, BUT, augment all the malus by not having stamina, like having less prio over passes/shots, being slow, even having slightly decreased shot power. In this way, a solo dribbler can even dribble the entire enemy team, but then he is screwed because he can do nothing. A good placement with stamina management creates an advantage, freestyle and counter attacks (so what the community think as fun) can be much more reliable that set plays and infinite reset. Because as far you reset and give the opportunity to the defense to have full stamina, you are screwed.

Also making the tackle recovery slower as stamina decrease, because tackle spam is still possible and annoying, especially in the corners.
