#Quitter penalty

I've had an insane amount of quitters over the last 6 months or so, and every time in a ranked game I just lose points as if it was my fault.

New season starts, I play a game and it's messy but it feels like the right elo.

Second game, wild levels of messy, people that have clearly just installed the game for the first time (why are they being put in a higher elo game?), and three out of four of them just run off out of goal or stand on the edge of the box as keeper trolling, leaving us to get smashed 0/4.

End of the game comes around, I quit so I could queue again and hopefully dodge them while they sit in the score screen looking at their 0s all across the board, and a message comes up saying "You are under matchmaking penalty for leaving a match early".

Are you serious? You can get a penalty for leaving a match that is OVER because of the mercy rule, but some twat can sit there holding keeper hostage and guaranteeing a loss... but I get a penalty?

There have been SO many exploits in this game for all the little boys and girls to abuse, but to give even more power to the PS5 kids that lose their temper and have a little tantrum is fuckin ridiculous. My guess is that I'll still lose full points if someone quits my game after 1 goal goes in because of an afk keeper.

How about this: PUNISH THE ACTUAL AFK PLAYERS BECAUSE NOTHING HAS HAPPENED FOR MONTHS AND IT'S RUINING THE GAME

Just seen four people leave in the score screen post game. Does that mean they're in for a 3 minute queue penalty too?

even worse than having afk teammates is when one of your friends gets disconnected before a games starts and you quit so you can play together you get a penalty

I remember a 4v4 quick match game a couple of months back with friends where I started 3v4, we played out the game for about 4 mins, nobody dropped in to replace our missing random. We somehow went a goal up and then I think they scored against us, then one of them left. Within 10 seconds their missing player was replaced by someone else and we were still a team of 3, nobody was put in to replace the guy on our side that never showed up 😄

Feels like Sloclap have a whole lot of stuff to fix before they should've even considered ranked, it's the same mess as it's always been but now it's more buggy...
