#Fix the servers: U.S east is cooked. The game also crashes a lot …

I cannot play this game on U.S east servers anymore without lagging: they are beyond cooked ! Had to switch to central because they are more ‘’stable’’ and even there…

The game also crashes a lot before getting into a game. I’ve never had this problem before that last patch

Where are you located?

Canada. It’s not just me having this problem. The whole squad cannot play on east anymore because the servers are bad. They are somehow stable in 3v3 ranked, but not in 5v5

Thanks for the info. There should be an update soon where I can dive in on your session id and look up stats to see what is going on for you. Stay tuned.

#

ps. The servers on US East are in Virginia

#

The servers in US Central are in Dallas

#

The servers in US West are in LA

#

Can you tell me which part of Canada you are located in?

#

(there's a lot of Canada out there...) 😉

If it's stable in 3v3 and not in 5v5, it's possible there is some server overload going on (speculation). I don't have the data yet to investigate this yet, but will soon.

#

Please hang tight. We're on it.

OK got it. Thank you!

#

I agree that you should generally be able to play on US East most of the time

#

Talking with the devs we think this is a routing issue between you and the hosting company that does the 5v5 fleet.

#

Because the game servers are hosted with multiplay, the exact hosting provider that is handling servers can vary depending on which part of the fleet you are connecting to. This is likely why you are having routing issues with 5v5 and not with 3v3. I've chatted with the devs for some options around how we can fix this. I need to wait until I can see your session id (non-zero) in the network stats page before I can dig in further and show the devs more info. -- cheers

There's probably not anything you can do in the short term, but longer term we can investigate and see if we can help accelerate you with Network Next

#

First I need to confirm what's happening with the session_id being non-zero in your network stats page. That's going to have to wait until a future build.

#

Also, these routing issues tend to come and go, it could resolve itself in a few days.

Okok. I wouldn’t say that the problem is always happening but I’d say 80% of my 5vs5 on east servers are above 120pings which is unusual. I always sitting around 15-40 but 120 is a lot

drowsy latch
#

Yep. Routing issue. Another thing you could try is use some gaming VPN like ExitLag and it might help fix those 80%

#

What's going on is that the internet routing depends on the hosting company (which seems to be different for 5v5 vs. 3v3 in this location)

#

and also the ip address of you, and your port number, and the ip address and the port number of the server.

#

This is why it's not happening all the time even when you get the 5v5 fleet.

#

Internet does things like this sometimes.

thick python
#

Good to know thank you

#

Do you have any idea on what’s causing the crashing problem too?

#

I’ve checked my files, re-installed the game, but nothing changed. It started happening since the last update

drowsy latch
#

Devs are aware of the crashing problem. It's not you, there are just some bugs. They have a hotfix ready and it's going through cert now.

Nice that's good news !

# rugged dragon yea ive been having to use exitlag for the last 3 months on only rematch too sad...

I have the same issue on EU made me drop the game completely. Used to play at 50ms average, but since some patch in August it just couldn't drop below 80-100ms. On very rare instances, it drops to 70ms but spikes up immediately sometimes even to 120ms.

I play on wired Ethernet, I have tried VPNs and Exitlag and I kept waiting for patches but none fixed it. This problem only happens in Rematch, ever other game is just fine.

#

When this problem started, my 3v3s lobbies were fine and could get to even 45ms. But 5v5, never.

#

@drowsy latch if you don't mind, would you kindly share server location for Europe? I asked but found no answers.

It's frankfurt.

Hopefully they fix it asap

I hate to break it to everybody, but there's never any code changes in the game in any patch that would increase your ping. It's the internet.

#

Ya'll understand it's not like there is some direct fiber optic cable between your ISP and the game servers, right?
