Hi Sloclap team,
First of all, thank you for Patch 3 — it’s a really good update overall. The fixes and improvements, like addressing bugs and changes to things such as the golden boost and ippy, are definitely a step forward and much appreciated.
That said, I feel the new movement changes are a big step back. The movement now feels slow and lacks the snappiness and responsiveness of the old version. On top of that, the coordination has a weird, almost “tractory” feel, which makes movement less natural and enjoyable.
From what I’ve seen and heard, the majority of the playerbase shares this opinion and would really like to see the old speed and responsiveness return.
I strongly suggest reverting the movement to how it was prior to Patch 3 while keeping the other great improvements you’ve made.

Completely agree, mate. However watch out, some on these discussions will just tell you you need to use more team work. Whatever that means.

Here's the problem. From what I'm seeing, defenders and goalkeepers really like this update. And it kind of makes sense. It makes their job a lot easier. It supports their play style. I don't have an issue with that. I have an issue with the fact that it handholds their play style. It almost feels like being a defender is the optimal way to play now. To the point where you don't really need good positioning as a defender because you can just catch up to whoever has the ball. As somebody who plays soccer in real life, it's kind of discouraging to see that my positioning as a forward is way more heavily punished than my positioning as a defender. Defense should be, technically speaking in this game, more punishing if your positioning isn't as good. It seems like defenders can now just play up a lot further than they used to, because there's not really a threat of somebody making a breakaway with the ball anymore. i'm happy they brought the blade shot down by 10%, but the speed with the ball and the control with the ball is unrealistic.

You're wrong, if you look around, there's plenty defenders and goalies who don't like this update( myself included) due to the fact movement is much more unresponsive and sometimes even "locked" when you run a certain direction , making it basically a random chance if you can get onto a loose ball before someone else.
The changes they have made have had a negative affect on all aspects of play. Therefore they should be reverted and an alternate solution needs to be found for cutting down on certain OP attacking metas.

Dang! I didn't even realize this! To be honest, I watch a lot of streamers and YouTubers, many of them defenders who often say they like the update. I guess it's more universal of a problem than I thought.

read around the discord and even steam discussions plenty are talking about it! The general consensus is the movement is not good, and hasn't improved anything no matter what position you play.
Free flowing passing football is what we all want... but it can't come at the expense of poor character movement. If you want to play with passes then you will, not because the game forces you to.
The game is in a poorer state than it was before the patch, no doubt about it.
