I think I know what you're talking about and the solution to your issue is to dive later. If you dive too early, the game predicts the ball to be hitting the ground so it does a low dive. If you wait until AFTER it's been headed/volley kicked then they will do the high jump.
Or side diving not directly towards the ball's trajectory,

The reason for this is because of how keeper dive works in general, you do have the animation, the animation you get will always be in prediction of ball trajectory when you dive in the right movement direction
Jumpy keepers get punished by low-balls because the prejump will always be a high jump (to either side), so the ball will go right under them etc.

He wants the option to manually select high dive or low dive
idk if that's needed tho it think keeper as is you get a lot of leniency. you also have the slide which would have getting those lower easier to get.
The keeper slide too slow to catch a ground ball and inconsistent
